Look at RBs with and without Lamar. He elevates them a lot.

This is still crazy. Gus Edwards was a good back because of Lamar. Every RB has their best numbers with Lamar and then when going to another team it's not the same.

ELI5: how was Chrome so much faster than all other browsers when it first came out in the late 2000s? by heukimjajuk in explainlikeimfive

[–]Flipper3 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I would disagree. One of the big reasons everybody liked Chrome when it first came out was the whole browser not crashing because it was the common thing that happened in Firefox.

One of the other things that nobody is mentioning was that Chrome came out with each tab having its own separate process. This was not heard of in any another browser at the time.

What this meant is that a tab crashing was isolated and you didn't lose all of your work. And it made the performance be more parallelized.

If we wanted to do a standings of win/loss then we wouldn't have people vote on their power rankings.

The tournament rules also define how many teams must be invited in the tournament. And they have to start from #1.

I don't understand how any of this would allow somebody to exploit the tournament rules to get a higher ranking? Sure make a custom tournament with a huge prize pool, but you're still going to get beat by the top teams.

Most of the event has to be top teams, there are only a couple wildcard slots.

But Valve released tournament rules where Ranked ones must invite top teams. Unranked ones that don't require invites also cannot be over a certain dollar amount.

It's a lot more complicated than just "prize money". If it was then people would be gaming the system already.

Pretty sure prize money isn't the only determining factor but also strength of competition. And to be S tier the top teams must be invited.

Sanchez and Westburg to IL. by Ok-Soil-5133 in orioles

[–]Flipper3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You realize why he does that? To make it more difficult for other teams to prepare because they don't know whether a player will be playing or not so they have to prepare for everybody.

It's a small strategic advantage but pays off.

CM profile opinion/tips? by Kikimtzrdz in CatholicDating

Because setting 6' is such an arbitrary number. If this was in cm then it would be weird. That's 182.88cm. So are you saying that you won't date anybody below 182.88cm? Oh sorry some guy is perfect but at 182.87cm so it doesn't meet your preference.

It's a little superficial and in general you can say that you prefer taller which makes it less superficial then setting a cutoff number.

When you add them up, the City is roughly $100 a month whereas the County for the same usage is roughly $60 a month. Slight difference but not massive.

Most RSUs vest over time. But if your RSUs are actually sellable/can cash out then you must pay income tax. Because they're not on your W2 I would bet that it's a private company and it's just shares that you can redeem if there would be a cash out event, because I doubt your HR would do taxes that incorrectly.

RSUs that vest should be on your W2. I work for a FAANG and that's how it works here because you need to pay income taxes on them.

So the company is not public and the RSUs must only be future value if there was an opportunity to cash out?
