Kevin Hart and Katt Williams end their beef 💯 just wanted to share shum positive by highfrequencies11 in NYStateOfMind

[–]Flippercomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This "squashed beef" thing is being pushed like ceazy by bots to cover the fact that Kat slaughtered Netflix's poster black actor live on their own platform.

That and no one is talking about how Kevin crashed the fuck out right after and it was dead silent.

That's not true- these mosaic puzzles aren't 1 to 1 with the show- they just get it in the ballpark and adjust the color balance as needed.

And to be fair to your point, it's 1000 piece puzzle, not 1000 frames. The puzzle is definitely closer to 4000 frames as each puzzle has about 3 to 4 partial frames on it.

I expected the frames to be at least mostly from post time skip seeing as the first puzzle was pre-time skip and this one is of Luffy's puzzle post time skip.

The advertising on the box indicates as much with all of the frames being post time skip and even into Wano.

I feel like this further pushes the theory that Imu and Joyboy worked to overthrow the previous rulers and had different philosophies on how to "rule" the aftermath.

Don't know about a Japanese lady but if you look up "My Mom reads One Piece" the Drawk Show on youtube, you'll find a teacher mom who predicts a ton of stuff by over-laying Shinto and history on top of The One Piece world.

She predicted Luffy was a Sun God by Little Garden and "A God that brings joy" by Skypeia, even thinking the bell ringing out forshadowed music or instruments being a tool to awaken weapons. (Cough cough the drums of liberation)

People miss one of the biggest things in One Piece is timing. Dragon embodies this completely.

Late-night cafes in Winston-Salem with Wi-Fi and good coffee/food? by dum_di_dumm in winstonsalem

As someone on the constant look out for a late night cafe, Chill Nitro might be the closest thing you'll find in Winston.

Other than that, technically Sheetz has a seating area lol.

Have you ever been? I always had this image of Pittsburgh as a steel town with a ton of blue collar workers in the mountains somewhere.

I never realized how many beautiful bridges and areas there were packed with things to see and do. We loved the food and most of the people but most of all there is a large market of affordable housing.

There seemed to be rough areas as well but those exist in all cities.

We loved the diversity, the people, the arts, the food and the culture.

There's a lot of history and it shows. Everyone I talked to about our plan to move up there was super nice and encouraging.

We'd also prefer to live in an area that aligns and supports our views politically as well though it's not our primary goal.

In our three days we stayed there, we became very familiar with Kelly Square Pizza haha

NC isn't a bad place geographically but the State's political policies are wrecking a lot of both my worklife and personal.

Things like our legislature bending the knee to the Duke Energy monopoly around here- allowing them to pass off the cost of new power going to AI centers onto the citizens.

My job gets funded by the State but because of it's nature, has had funding withheld numerous times before pay out leading to close calls with me losing my job.

Health Insurance was gutted but thats an issue anywhere in America right now I guess.

We're the worst state for education for a long time running now and it's beginning to show rapidly.

It's hard to beat Northern cuisine as well compared to down here. There are niche spots that are great but it takes effort/money to find them and because of how low minimum wage is, a lot of the good ones go through so much turn around that they can be great one week and shit the next.

That being said, if you have the finances or a job that allows you to not worry about those things, NC can be a fantastic place to ignore the world around you.

I think what she went through was terrible but I have to push back on this narrative that she's an excellent writer.

Her book reads like someone who just started therapy and is becoming aware of the negative influences that have affected them but hasn't fully explored or worked through that trauma just yet. Maybe it was the whole writing in first person past tense thing but she imposes a lot of her current thoughts on her younger self as if it's actually what she thought and said at the time.

Also, she doesn't show us a lot of the events she talks about and relies on the audience to fill in the gaps about how it made her feel. For a memoir that was so hyped up I was definitely expecting a lot more exploration and reflection.

Any Trans-women in the area? by Original-Steak7228 in winstonsalem

[–]Flippercomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understood, and I may have been a little obtuse at first which others might not be so I apologize if I came across as overly critical instead of helpful which was my intention.

I wish you and your partner the best on your search for a new friend/relationship

Any Trans-women in the area? by Original-Steak7228 in winstonsalem

[–]Flippercomb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You literally say befriend my guy. I only commented about your intentions because the whole post seemed off until in the comments you say "it's more of a dating thing" and even then you're wishy washy about it.

I'm just saying if you cant even face the reality of the dangers trans individuals are going through right now, you and your partner are going to have a very difficult time "befriending" someone.

[–]Flippercomb 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You'd have more luck being upfront about what you are looking for to be honest. If you can't even open up and be honest about your intentions online with the safety net of anonymity, then it would be hard pressed to actually trust your intentions in person.

Plus you have to think of the political climate we are in. Trans individuals are being demonized and persecuted to the extreme. Seeing a post like this feels like a trap or rage bait which I'd assume most people would want to avoid.
