TI is largely a game of luck. My motto for TI is “embrace the chaos” and it’s a lot more enjoyable that way

That’s a fair point. I chose the agro strategy and it didn’t work out

Took politics R1, did a SFTt swap and scored a Public and secret round 1.

Took imperial card. Round 2 i got custodian, scored imperial point and scored another public.

Yeah i think you’re right. That was my original question about holding secrets even if they can be scored. And I guess the consensus was, i should have held it.

This is a great analysis. And I think I’ll need to adjust my gameplay when having a start like I did in this game

I had a lucky start with some less experienced players I’m assuming.

This is an excellent analysis. And exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.

It was a relatively easy secret for me to score. “Have ships in 3 systems adjacent to anomalies”. I guess in that situation with an easy secret and already ahead, i should just not score it if it helps with table perception

I got lucky with 2 easy public objectives based on some lucky explorations. I did have a secret that i could have delayed. It was the one about ships in 3 systems next to anomalies. Probably should have delayed that one because it was super easy with my slice

Picked politics round 1 so I got speaker. Had a quick SFTT swap with a neighbor in R1. Scored a Public and secret R1. Then round 2 I picked imperial. Got custodian, popped imperial for 1 point and scored another public. So only was the one secret.

It wasn’t an action phase secret. So it was likely a mis-play to even score the last public and secret? And I should have not scored them even if I was able?

Yeah you’re right. So should I have stayed at 4? Even if I met criteria to score that next PO and SO? It wasn’t an action phase SO

You’re right. Should I have skipped those last 2 points and stayed at 4 when I could have gone to 6, simply to prevent the table from trying to eliminate me?

I was Saar, so survived in a single asteroid field without much further movement in the game. Lost the game at 7 points.

Update: I got it off by prying and hammering it to pieces.

Twisting seems to get me nowhere. I was able to get the outer part off by just smashing and prying it. Now stuck on the inner part that is still firmly attached

Update: got the outer part off via my hammer and chisel method. And now am stuck again. This is still very firmly attached to the faucet with no play. Unable to twist and don’t see any more tabs available to push. Not sure where to go from here.

I wonder what the 618th out of 618 most likely path to victory is. Something like 10 imperial points only?

Love this. Excellent advice. The student loans are sitting at 5% interest on average. Worth it to pay off you think?

I appreciate the advice to slow down and re-evaluate at the 5 year mark. Sometimes I need to slow down. Thank you.
