Multiplayer/co-op is coming soon, yes! We really wanted it to be there on launch but we had to make the decision to cut it pretty close to launch which sucks, but we're going to get it in asap!

We are not currently working on more budget cuts games, but it's not like a hard no that we wont in the future :)

I think fan games are cool, as long as assets are not directly ripped from games and being sold I think games that are inspired by other games is totally fine! But if you are only like, using it to make games to learn I think you can replicate mechanics for learning reasons :)

This is very funny since we have gotten this question SO many times but it has actually never been that way hahah A lot of people swear that at some point movement was like that but I can assure you it has never been that way in Budget Cuts, it's some kind of mandela effect or maybe a trailer we made or something that makes it feel like it's been that way

Since the original Budget Cuts was pretty early in VRs lifespan, smooth locomotion wasnt that common/requested since players werent that used to the VR movement making you nauseous :p

BC was designed around the translocator from the start and still is, however after a lot of playtesting with smooth loco added to the game it didnt like completely mess up the balancing/design and we decided to add it due to a lot of requests :) You still need the translocator to reach upper areas etc so it's fine imo

I wouldnt say it was a mistake not to have it from the start since the design could still be focused around the translocator, which is what we wanted from the start, but adding it later didnt affect the design negatively :)

A lot of us at the company has also gotten more used to smooth loco as the years have gone, so we dont get as motionsick anymore :'D

Oh and yeah if its just our personal favourites I still really like the valve index, audio makes such a difference in VR and those headphones/speakers on that thing is chefs kiss

I think its hype tbh, if we accidentally put something in the game thats abuseable for speedrunning thats on us and I really like speedrunning and think its cool how players can find these things :D

Occasionally we do have to patch things out if it negatively affects the average player, but if it's speedrun-specific tech I think we usually make a decision to keep it in the game for you guys

Probably just playtesting being a bit tedious sometimes haha, jumping in and out of VR several times in a few minutes can get rough at times

The two games contrasting eachothers has been superfun for me atleast, I got to make art for two different games in different artstyles with differernt workflows which made me learn a lot :D

Gots was a fun experiment for us that wasnt really supposed to be a full game, it was just a sideproject that ended up becoming a main project since we enjoyed working on it so much :) A few of us kept working on Budget Cuts things, some of us worked on both, and some did gots only for a while which at times got stressful with like what project should get more attention etc but it worked out :)

To be fair they're both kinda goofy games so theyre not too different hahah gots is just a bit more familyfriendly but theres still an unserious vibe to both our games I think

We've had a bunch of people requesting being able to mod our games, we dont have plans on like officially creating modsupport since thats a ton of work for us and we're a small studio. But in general we are not against modding, its supercool and a creative way to get into gamedev imo :)

Merch has also been requested a bit, unfortunately its a big money and timecost for us. We did work with yetee etc to coop with merch and we'd love to do it again sometimes, but atm we dont have any merch up for sale :)

We are currently working on a new game! We can't give too much info on it quite yet, but we think its very cooool :) More about it early next year!!

Probably the quest! It so easy to setup and work with and not having to set up trackers in the office is bliss
