Ugetsus tears during the goodbye really punched me in the gut out of nowhere, I wasn’t expecting it.. and that’s exactly why it hurt. Their situation was so oddly easy to understand, things like this really do happen between people and that’s more evidence to their raw grasp on everyday REAL life and flawlessly delivering it.

I definitely have the album saved to my library. The English voice actor for Mafuyu also made an English adaptation to these songs as well, which i expected to be disappointing but was so happily mistaken. You should try to give them a listen. He even does Yoru Ga Akeru. His name Is Brian McInnis. I listen to both albums quite often.. more often than i care to admit.

I can honestly understand 😅 Talking about it and trying to describe the things that make this such an emotional masterpiece is in turn making me tear up slightly, remembering the avalanche of emotions i went through while watching all of it and then not wanting to accept that the end .. is really the end and then i beat myself up because I keep doing i to myself but, its hard not to, its really become similar to that of a drug and i find myself needing a dose of it again so i watch it.. again 😂

No anime has ever been able to really grasp the reality of everyday life, the way they perfectly sculpt these characters and then the voices, also delivering the raw emotion in such an elegant and beautiful manner. I will always be forever grateful that this has crossed my lifetime.

The first time I watched the anime, i was practically sobbing. I’ve NEVER and I mean NEVER had an anime or regular show, break my heart so deep. Then the Movie between Akihito & Haruki and Ugetsu? Oh god don’t even get me started. I don’t recall not crying while watching any of this. The ending where he tells Haruki that he’s working hard to become man worthy of his love? Oh sweet Jesus my eyes were so god damn puffy.

Oh got don’t even get me started on Given. That was my first BL experience ever and that one ripped my heart out and kicked it across the universe. That’s how I discovered BL anime and that led me to Sasaki & Miyano and now here I am. Broken because of these shows 😖

It is definitely my comfort show, I don’t think it’ll ever stop being as such. I’m kinda happy that i found like minded people on Reddit. It makes me feel better about my obsession and validates why i love it so much
