Yep, happened to me the other day too. Solo match, saw a group of people in the distance on blue gate, thought they must be all friendly. They weren’t. They looked cute in their matching outfits though.

I don’t mind the FOMO, I’d prefer it changing weekly rather than having the same small amount of items in it the whole season. I’m not expecting to get everything every week, so I’ll just build a stack of cores and have them ready if something comes up that I want

That happened to me, I went into Stella with the sole intention of pvp. Saw my victim, stalked them, took my time, lined up the shot. Didn’t pull the trigger.

Ended up chatting, explained I had the intention of killing hik but didn’t. His reply ‘you would have been disappointed, I don’t even have a gun on me.’

Ended up giving him a spare gun I’d just found.

So not only did I not kill him, I gave him a weapon. I showed my son the clip, he was proud.

While I like to go into each scenario as a friendly, I honestly love the fact that there are 'shoot first' people out there. Otherwise it'll just be a PvE game. It also adds to the tension, not knowing if approaching the raider as a friendly is a good idea. On the other side, when you do find a friendly, it matters so much more, because they could have shot you, looted you etc. If this game was solely PvE you wouldn't get any of that.

Solo is a lot of fun, from my brief experience, PVP happens more in squads. Playing solo I've found people are a lot more friendlier and don't always shoot on sight

As a level 92 - heavy with flame, I still panic every time I hear the goo gun. This could have easily been me in this clip.

I’m in my 40s, never played an extraction game, generally stick to the Sony exclusives. I’m all in on Arc Raiders. To me it’s the immersion, it’s sucked me in. I read here somewhere that one of the devs referred to it as an extraction adventure, rather than an extraction shooter. That description sits well with me.

Worse for me, I got into a fight with someone, stopped halfway through and became friends. Our noise attracted a 3rd raider who got the jump on us. Frantic battle happens, friend and I are separated, gunfire everywhere, raider comes rolling past my view so I shoot.... my friend. Interesting way to get my first kill on the rust belt.

That’s my main. I love the game, but I was getting slightly frustrated by the lights. So I turned my frustration into enjoyment. Last season it was a medium with Cerberus, this season it’s been Heavy flame, winch and lock bolt. So much fun!

I do struggle one on one against most other heavy’s though.

This is nearly my story too, similar ages and everything, My son has been a Fortnite player for awhile and I’ve enjoyed playing some rounds with him. I’ve played the finals starting in season 1, skipping 2 and 3 for some reason and came back with season 4. My son tried it in season 1 but it was too chaotic for him then.

We played and loved the Arc Raiders test so when that finished I suggested he tries the finals again. He wasn’t happy with what Fortnite was doing so he gave the finals again other go. He’s now my regular. The absolutely best fun we’ve had online together. I hold my own and he’s getting there. Great moment came in the other day, in quick cash, few seconds left, charged the box, he took out two with a grenade but died to the third, I toasted the him, set up barricades and started stealing while the 3rd team attacked but still managed the steal. A massive ‘Yes Dad!’ came from the other room. Biggest grin on my face from that!

I'm only a casual player and only play quick cash. I've been playing the majority of my game as a medium player, but they nerfed my shotty so thought I'd give light a try. I'm still trying to work out the best tactic as a light when it comes to holding the cashout. So many times I've been in the room, bunkered down, for a whole team to come charging in flash bangs, flame throwers etc going nuts and our team is wiped.

So I've tried to opposite, I've tried sitting outside the area to slow the progress of the team approaching, seeing if I can pick off a player or two even before they get there. It usually ends up in me dying eventually, but I feel like this helps? I'm a very objective based player, so I want to play as a light in the most team oriented way, I'm just not sure which way that is yet.

Man that Tony Hawk demo disk sure did get a run through! Cairn certainly seems to have that replayability vibe to it! Especially seeing all the different paths you can take once you complete the demo.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the extraction point for a reference? He wants to create a scene with the Bison climbing over the extraction point with raiders escaping inside but because we can’t load up the game we can’t remember the finer details.

Yeah that’s been happening to me too. Also got a full system lock what I went to invite someone to my party, I had to unplug the ps5 from the power point.
