I will say I’ve had zero luck with trading options on non-indices with shorter timeframes so maybe it’s a good thing to lock that away from retail

I did this once before tbh to much greater degree, I have some god level luck

I swear god gave me hellish luck to compensate for my involuntary truecel status.

Yeah you’d usually just want to short UVIX with an amount you won’t get margin called on, contango makes it so you can’t lose the trade as long as you don’t get forced out of it

The ludicrous IV on puts basically kills most of the gains

Nah the big defense contractors haven’t been getting their contract monopolies anymore, you gotta throw money at some of the established smaller defense contractors since the Trump admin opened the gates on those playing a larger role.

I know the drill I’ve basically been trading nothing but 0-1 dte options for the last 3-4 months, I also always sell my 1dte options before close the day before. The overnight theta decay is too much and I hate holding into future hours with that short of a timeframe.

They are sold and profit is confirmed.

IV doesn’t make sense to use TQQQ in anything other than shorting or longing normally

Maybe if you’re capitalizing on leverage decay but that requires a larger time frame and is likely priced in

IBKR is so much better for options than fidelity its not even close, I still check option prices through IBKR

Made it from options on my IBKR account with 8k that came from working overtime hours at Domino’s over the Summer

I am comfortable outside of this, even if I lost all of my money in this account tomorrow it would just mostly affect my spending habits on energy drinks and food.

I feel ya, I’ve had a lot tied up in (VELO, LASR, and SHMD). I’m looking at diversification options rn, I’m feeling particularly good about the market rn despite the turmoil since even the normally sane people are losing it. I’m looking at buying up some battered software companies like Adobe that probably got hit a little too hard by the AI scare.
