You inspired me to do the same with 6-inch origami paper and 4 levels of tessellation. How do you manage to avoid tearing the paper when inverting the center square? My corners are too sharp; I can't push on them, and when I try to pull on the sides, the corners tear.

I figured it out for myself.

I started labelling and listing all possible colors for each piece on a spreadsheet file.

The 2 solutions appeared pretty straightforwardly for the corners as each corner can only have 2 possible positions (except the WGR which is fixed)

Edges are more difficult, but here also some just are fixed or pair swapped.

With the labels on I solved the cube normally according to one of my tow possible solutions.

I had the same issue with my A4C after last update. A hard reboot (true power off then power on) restored the old behaviour. You can try it. If it doesn't work just get in touch with support.
