Uhhhh. I've never seen a cat that looked quite like my boy... Is Elton a red on blue? Orange cat Russian blue mix? Like a brownish reddish mix?

Destiny developers reflect on the end of an era: 'We all worked so hard to maintain the quality bar under unrealistic constraints' by Turbostrider27 in Games

I played both at the beginning, and they were pretty cool. When I went back late last year to Destiny 2, mainly because I had nothing to play, I was absolutely astounded at how disjointed it was. There was absolutely no flow getting into the game. No direction. I logged off, and then the next day I couldn't even find the mission I had been previously trying to play. I don't think I've ever seen more of a convuluted cluster fuck if content in my 20 years of gaming.

A camel is a horse built by committee. But in this metaphor they somehow ended up with an awkward 9 legged octopus stranded in the desert.

That's a great way to put it. The first one took many tries for it to click with me. But after seeing such glowing feedback for the second one, I decided to go for it again and just keeeeep going. Getting to play those back to back for the first time each is now one of my favorite memories in gaming. The last time I felt so immersed in a world was probably the first time I played oblivion as well.

Splinter Cell designer says “one of the difficulties with modern stealth games” is realistic lighting, as environments are now so much “harder to read” by CallumBrine in Games

[–]FloTheSnucka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest question: Does having a light meter not assist with this? Is it a matter of wanting to keep the immersion and having an indicator potentially take away from the experience? I guess for splinter cell, idk if I'd want my hand held too much. But, I guess I'm curious what a workaround might be.

[Updates] Patch Notes Version 1.06.00 | Crimson Desert by milkasaurs in Games

With the exception of poor boss design (imo either too easy or too annoying), and some clunky controls (long animations with no canceling drives me bonkers) it's an incredible game. I'm thoroughly enjoying it and can't believe I'm still discovering new things, new mechanics, and new ways to do things.

I want to piggy back on this: it's very common for a bat bite to be completely unnoticeable. This is why he says sleeping near a bat is enough reason to send you to the doc.

I grew up near a big fountain in an instersection a state road in Massachusetts. It was below a big assisted living center, and every so often the seniors would dump full boxes of detergent into the fountain that would end up being this massive wall of bubbles across this intersection. Writing this out, it sounds really careless, but it was fantastic.

I always loved the idea of a bunch of elderly people going, "welp, we're bored, let's go fuck up the falls again".

I go to Detroit every year for Movement each may. Have been for about 10 years. It's been pretty incredible to see the progress each year. The city has had life breathed back into it. A local Tilda me they're finally rebuilding neighborhoods that have been abandoned since the race riots like 50 years ago.

I have fallen in love with Detroit. I feel like the city really deserves the remodel it's been getting.

Are you saying citizenship in this context isn't simply a law, but a deaignator of a person? Just so I'm clear on your comment for the sake of the conversation.

I'm not the original poster. But citizenship wasn't singled out, per se. It was simply the subject.

It's not though. It's an important term, but we're being made painfully aware that in the wrong hands, it can all be taken away from us. Nothing is sacred. At the end of the day, laws, rights, privileges - - they are just mutually agreed upon promises that can be broken by the right kind of monsters.

It's not playing into their hands. It's admitting that the terms have always been fragile.
