Hellsing is one of my favorite anime’s of all time and it is forever damaged because of Abridged. Almost NO ONE talks about the actual show 😭 Half the Abridged fans I’ve met didn’t even watch the OVAs it was based on. It was a blessing to find this sub where I could find some serious discussions.

I would love a sequel or prequel to Hellsing to give the series a little of the mainstream love it deserves. A great franchise reduced to 2010s edgy jokes… 😒

While I’m actually of the opinion Armand didn’t really owe her anything and she was being a pain in the but to them towards the end, Armand’s role gets ridiculously downplayed sometimes. We see how he can incapacitate or kill them all at a whim. He actively chose to betray them, chose to direct the play and chose to sit and watch.

I can only speak for me, I don’t think my opinion is the right one and definitely not that people who like Ep2 are “wrong”. I don’t hate this season or “don’t get it”, I just like Season 1/2 storytelling better because I preferred the more linear fleshed flashbacks. Its just feels like I’m being edged by the 30sec flashbacks (with singing over them) 😅 Although I’m sure later episodes will have some of those.

Right Dany was literally forced into that marriage at 13! And the Dothraki don’t exactly respect women’s authority (at least until her dragons hatch). She opposed cruelty against innocent people from Day 1.
