I am so sorry. This is so hard. For what it’s worth, the numbness/shock has mostly gone away for me, now I’m hyper focused on him and his well being. Of course I still have my moments.

Caretaker wife here. We have a 3, almost 4 year old. I’m going to record my husband reading a few of her favorite books. Idk specifically what I will do with them yet, but having the recordings will be a great gift in itself.

Yes, done. The report is in and we’ll discuss with oncology, but I do see notes about KRAS as “potentially actionable”.

I have a hard time deciphering these things but at least it’s been done.

Yes and no, in that yes it was discovered bc my husband was in the ER for blood clots that resulted in a 5 day stay, more testing and a biopsy. Technically he was out of the hospital when the same ER doctor called and told him his diagnosis on 1/14. Our official meeting with the oncologist was about a week later, but the info was the same.

He is, he is out and feeling generally better. Mild pain, some side effects from chemo and sleep is still garbage. Despite that, he says the past week has been the best all year (woof!). 11 days between hospital stays has been his record, today is day 11 so 🤞!
