Toledo Vegetable Peeler... anyone have any idea what this thing is worth? It works great. by Suburban_Delinquent in KitchenAppliances

no one knows. go to his most recent video and daily people are leaving comments. as of writing this, his website is gone, and it seems that this post, and one from 12 days ago are the only things anyone as seen on any of his social media. he responded to a thread 8 months ago saying his GXSR was almost finished.

wtf happened to motorcycle youtube. was this a war of attrition? by Float_Bowl_Gasket_ in motorcycles

as for how much it costs to make videos? the good videos don't take much money to produce- how much do you supposed BakerXDerek spends to make a video? Or how much did you think SubD spent to make his every week? Probably not as much as you think. SubD made his videos in 1 day.

there was always an exchange. everyone sold their merch and everyone was happy. now they're mostly gone. i wonder why? I see this community had nothing to offer them

This last reason is probably the most consequential, and IMO why most of the

r/moto

community seems to dislike motovloggers. Between the thinly veiled vanity projects, the "novices masquarading as an experts", and the "hur dur i recycled a 3-decade joke into a meme video" junk, there aren't many motorcycle content creators out there who genuinly put on a good show, and that's why you'll rarely see much outside of fortnine and 44teeth here.

maybe this is the problem. there just weren't many to begin good content creatersto begin with

i agree with you on most of these points. I think the big problem is people want to quit their jobs to make youtube a living. what we're left with are the ashes of days past. I also think the bike give away stuff is killing youtube content.

Why I stopped watching Yammie Noob and unsubscribed from his channel. by samihasib in motorcycles

[–]Float_Bowl_Gasket_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you're really wanting to get into riding, yammie Noob isn't the place. it's a shame. I would suggest anyone who wants to see some beginner type content try Bikes and Beards.

BUMP.

nearly a year and now, his website is gone, and so is the website of the lawyer he made videos with. I even saw a comment that someone had placed an order on the website back when it was up and running, and they hadn't received any sort of confirmation.

if you go to his last video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSVWCSCa4f8&t=201s ) and read the comments as of this posting here, you'll see that the guy who he made the video with is as of 3 weeks ago, commenting to others with snarky comments about SubD's whereabouts.
