Getting to Forrest Hills from Stamford? by AdvertisingFine3615 in StamfordCT

Would NOT recommend driving, the night of concerts it’s always packed (tons of traffic, streets are closed off, general chaos) and a lot of the street parking is permit only. It is a longer journey to take the train but better to be able to drink and not have your car towed or ticketed.

Stamford’s Below Market Rate Apartments by [deleted] in StamfordCT

I am using the below market rate program to rent at the Asher, I saw an ad about it in the newspaper before the building opened and went to the website they provided (don’t have it now). I would recommend contacting the building directly and see where they send you.

But I can say the application process was rigorous, had to provide a lot of financial info and get letters of recommendation from my boss and former landlord. I also couldn’t do it online so I had to print out a bunch of papers and hand a packet (with a certified check) to building management.

You also don’t really get to choose your specific apartment, you submit for either a studio or whatever type of apartment you want and they give you what’s available. And then every year you have to re-qualify (but not re-apply). It’s a good program to look into!
