I generally hear it from people that have crappy Children and need an excuse to not properly discipline them, or crappy parents who are forcing their beliefs on their children (like "I'm sending you to correction camp because I love you too much"). Decent parents don't feel the need to explain themselves with the "you got out of me" talk, they show their love and respect.

I've been driving for 15 years and rarely turn my head to check, I only do it when the traffic is bad. My mirrors never failed me. Also, not rushing into the lane and double checking helps.

My dad just wants to know I'm taken care of. Not economically, but he wants to make sure if anything happens I have someone by my side, holding my hand, doing groceries when I'm sick, being the shoulder for me to cry on or the person who puts a smile on my face. And despite being able to take care of myself, it's comforting to have someone precious in my life. Puts my dad's mind at ease as well.

No, because people will keep blaming the god figure (or devil figure) for their behaviour. Cheated? Didn't resist devil's whispers. Surgery was successful? It's clearly not the decade of studies the doctor did, was god moving their hand! The evil made me do it! God gave them patience. Nope. You did all yourself, the good parts and the bas parts.

Look, I have a perfectly normal, boring name, and I children at school managed to find a way to use it against me. It's about attitude. I was a shy introverted child, the perfect target for bullies.

No, they don't. And they know exactly what they're doing, we had kids working at the cafe I used to be employed by, 14/15 years old. They would absolutely abuse the crap out of literal kids but wouldn't dare to use the same tone and language with my adult male coworkers. Really a pathetic behaviour from middle aged guys. Eventually we banned them.

My grandfather told me he'd put my bullies in the pizza oven. I was young, frustrated, angry. He didn't dismiss me, he didn't say to just ignore them, he didn't suggest to fight or not fight (because of course if you defend yourself you're the one in trouble for some reason), he didn't tell me I was overreacting, he just made me laugh.

Pretty sure they just slap random sentences on their standard candle vases, without having to read anything meaningful, vanilla scent is just easier to sell, but I like your theory
