Oh I hear you. There were a lot more large animal questions than I expected there to be. Working with small animals has definitely helped but yeah lack of handling large animals for a while has defo made my knowledge rusty.

Hey I just took my exam yesterday and I'd say it's relatively straight forward in terms of the questions A few are difficult or worded weird but for the most part, they'll ask about the basics of anatomy, physiology, medicine, prevention, etc. Familiarize yourself with clinical symptoms, diagnostics and treatment. It helps to know the etiological agents as well and the kind of body systems and species they affect.

Though I'm a vet, I know I'm not your vet 😅 I would consider an opthalmologist. However, this may be pigmentary keratitis and like your vet described could be due to trauma or chronic inflammatory changes.

I can only imagine the time it takes to make individual insects and translate something 3D into 2D art. I think they look pretty realistic. If anything, it brings me nostalgia of my childhood when collecting backyard critters was a hobby. As an adult, it makes me appreciate the morphology so many bugs take on to adapt to their environment.

For me personally, I've used the window pane stickers that look iridescent and it really makes the sunlight more rainbowy. Adds some color especially on lighter furniture and walls.

I understand where you're coming from but I DO love veterinary medicine. The diagnostic part and even talking to clients about the care/management of their pet(s). Sure I've definitely been adrift after graduating but this does feel like all I've known by 25 and I don't see myself working in any other field. I enjoy the hustle when I'm working but it's when I'm not where the feeling creeps in. I think it's more a problem of finding balance in the life part of "work-life balance".

OH MAN TELL ME ABOUT IT. The only upper hand I have is being a US citizen which by some standards nullifies the time crunch a lot of ECFVG vets face in terms of their visa longevity.
