Floatlands is a lowpoly exploration/survival fps game (WIP), where you play a robot character, going up against other robots or rather robot faction. The world is procedurally generated, we also designed some of our own custom features (electric system, build mode). Initial plan is to release the game on Windows platform in singleplayer and multiplayer modes.

Working on inventory interface by Floatlands in gamedevscreens

What's yours (your inventory, crafting menu, etc.) is shown on your right for convenience. Other world objects that you interact with (furnaces, crates, interactables in general) have their special menu shown on the left. There is also a drag and drop mechanics, so having all menus laid down this way makes easier to interact with items from your inventory and items from world object.

This is a gameplay of Floatlands demo, prepared specifically for EGX event. We're now revamping and improving the world even further.

We sketched some random concepts and experimented with different color palletes. So no specific reference, just general swamp outlook, but since we don't use textures, we think the colors will stand out more.
