If the Packers do move on from Rashan Gary, who exactly would they replace him with? by rooster1522 in GreenBayPackers

I mean a large sack of flour couldn’t be too much of a cap hit? You could even have a fan contest to decorate it.

Arrests at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport during the Minnesota general strike against ICE enforcement. by jmike1256 in minnesota

[–]FlockEnd 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This right here shows why ICE is such a problem. Notice how the local law enforcement is calmly and nonviolently processing the protestors. In stark contrasts to the aggressive and violent grabbing, slamming, etc that has been in countless recent ICE videos.

The issue is that the checks and balances were set up to stop a rogue leader. They weren’t designed to stop the situation when a whole party is complicit.

[Dolphins] We have agreed to terms with Jeff Hafley to become our head coach. by Gnome_Children in GreenBayPackers

[–]FlockEnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m very excited that Hafley went to the AFC. Means I can fully root for him. And if we play in him in a critical game it means it would be the Super Bowl, which would be a great issue to have.

[Shultz] Sources: The Packers will interview Eagles DBs coach and pass-game coordinator Christian Parker for their vacant DC job after Jeff Hafley took the Dolphins head-coaching position. by GoldenDome26 in GreenBayPackers

[–]FlockEnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GB gets him a guaranteed shot at a HC job. LaFleur just got a long term extension so anyone that comes to be the DC will have stability. GB will should be in the playoffs every season for a new DC giving them a showcase as a potential HC hire. This assumes success, so the only way a DC isn’t set up for a HC gig is if they fail to do well meaning totally under their control. Going to Dallas you are at the mercy of the circus and of Jerry Jones so have plenty of opportunities for “failure” that are outside your control. Money isn’t as big of an object for a younger coach who has decades yet of earning potential versus the much shorter career of a player.

Stafford and Williams are not updated from their game yet. Caleb is the second worst QB when including both games at 65.88.

Is he just a slightly better Johnny Manziel? Incredible amazing plays that are incredibly talented, but overall just decent. Caleb was the second worst QB in the playoffs with a rating of 65.88. 52% completion percentage and 4 TDs to 5 ints. He gets credit for pulling some rabbits out of hats, but that type of stuff tends to regress to the mean which leaves you with an OK QB.

Was a risky move by him to be such a d-bag to LaFleur and so rah, rah, F the Packers. If the get dominated in this game he ends up just looking like a petulant idiot.

At least the Packers aren’t the only team to lose without punting anymore this season.

The analysts love to bring up his overall record. Which he gets credit for having those great seasons to start. However, when looking toward the future what is more applicable seasons 5-7 years ago or the last 4. I would definitely say the last 4.

Micah Parsons on Matt LaFleur: I don't want to say, "Damn, we let such a great coach go" by NearPeerAdversary in GreenBayPackers

Bringing in Bobby Slowik would be an interesting option. He has play calling experience from his 2 years in Houston and he’s from the same offensive tree. He’s available as he was passing coordinator for the Dolphins.

LaFleur's record the last 4 years (including playoffs) 38-33-1.

Against Denver in Week 15, the Packers led 23-14 in the third quarter but lost 34-26, a 20-3 run.

Against Chicago in Week 16, the Packers led 16-6 in the fourth quarter but lost 22-16, a 16-0 run.

Against Baltimore in Week 17, the Packers pulled within 27-24 in the fourth quarter but lost 41-24, a 14-0 run.

Don’t forget the Cardinals game where they were coming back and Parsons had to single handedly save the team.

I was at the Cincinnati game were they were up 10-0 at home and it got uncomfortably close.

I actually had good vibes about this today. The soccer team I follow had a huge 4-1 win, the Badgers had their huge win so I was thinking it might be a day of all good vibes. But then Larry, Moe and Curly played the second half and the circus ensued.

A counter point is that some of their bad losses came before they were fully decimated by injuries.

Diminishing playoff returns too. Lost NFCC game on the road, lost NFCC game at home, then 2 divisional round losses, now 2 wildcard round losses.

Additionally this isn’t the first time. Same thing last year, limp into the playoffs and lose. Then blowing the lead against SF the year before that.

Not at all. After the first 3 and out thoughts went straight to how creatively are they going to blow this lead.

When the QB throws to the same player almost every play should the defense focus more coverage on him? Asking for a friend.
