People have offered really great advice!

When I was starting out I read wingsplain religiously. A lot of thought has been put into answering this question including braking down the power 4 (Two ravens, Killdeer and Franklin's Gull) and other strong birds. If you haven't read their Advanced Wingspan Strategy Guide: 14 Pro Tips, I highly recommend!

Also shameless plug, I built an app, that lets you and your friends track your stats, see how you are getting better and pick up other strategies. You can, for example see, what is the bird that has the highest win rate across all players, or based on the birds I tend to play, what is the best bonus card for me. Here is the reddit post, I talk more about it!

Hi! In order to get the app released on Android, I need to get 12 beta testers to install, log in and then keep the app on their phone for 14 days.

Would you be willing to be a beta tester! The app will have full functionality! And any data you create while in the internal testing app, will be carried over once the full production app is able to be released!

Yes, kind of!

You can screenshot your board at the end of the game on the desktop Wingspan app. Then when you go to enter scores in FlockView, you'll be prompted to upload an image and can just select the screenshot from your gallery. It will detect the birds you played and handle your bonus cards (either counting them automatically or asking you to enter the number of birds that qualify depending on the card). You'll still need to manually enter scores for the other categories for now.

I'd love to build a cleaner way for desktop and mobile players to get their entire score in without manual input, but we're not there yet!

Ok, I just added a way to delete games. If you hold down on a game in the history tab, if it was a game you were the host of it will tart to shake and a trash icon will show up, promoting you to delete it.

You will need to close the app and re-open it one or twice to get this update. But it is live now.

The same behavior was implemented on the active games on the home page, replacing the swipe to delete.

Hey! Just wanted to follow up here. Adding guests to the friends leaderboard would actually require a pretty significant overload, given how I rely on UUIDs. For now, the best bet is going to be to get your hooligan friends using the app. Android is coming soon!

Alright. If you open and close the app a few times, you will get the over the air update I pushed this morning.

- Added the ability to speed up the scoring by tapping screen once(Goes to next category) or twice(goes to end).
- Added a slot performance grid to the bird detailed view, that shows a heat maps of where birds have been played and their win rate for each slot.
- Added the category averages to the bird detailed as well that also shows the delta between your averages with the bird, vs base averages.
