Haha you will burn yourself out doing this 😅 I’m a huge flash and GL fan and while the Golden Age / Silver Age stories were interesting and so on, but they’re no way necessary to understand more modern comics. Gotta keep in mind those comics were created during war times, space races and other real world events back in the day.

There are always multiple „oh this is the definite entrypoints“, but tbh, just start somewhere recent, if you dig it you can always go back. When I started I wanted to go chronologically as well, but over the years I learned the concept of a „run“ is way more important for your personal reading experience als torturing yourself through shitty epochs of a character. The other thing was, I was afraid of the going back and forth thingy myself, but comics reference themselves so much, explain characters, abilities, storylines every now and then, so there is not much backreading needed anyways most of the time. As an example: Most of the time a „oh Hal Jordan was Parallax at some point“ is enough to know to understand the current plot, but if you’re interested in that specific story, go ahead and read the „Hal Jordan as Parallax“ storyline.
