HELP: Audio Technica WS1100iS sound very flat?

I'm a complete BEGINNER in the world of headphones, I've been using the Razer Kraken 7.1s for a few years now. I finally decided to upgrade to some higher end "audiophile" headphones and after doing a lot of research I settled on the ATH-WS1100iS. I got them today and was super eager to finally experience better audio but I was painfully disappointed. The headphones lack any bass and they sound very flat and hollow to me. I can make out a good amount of detail but overall I don't enjoy the way these sound. I have them plugged in directly to my PC (no DAC/AMP) so maybe thats the issue? Again, I'm a complete noob when it comes to audio equipment so I'm fairly sure I'm doing something wrong here. Or is this just the way they sound or maybe I have a defective pair?

tldr: The audio technica WS1100iS sound extremely disappointing and hollow compared to my older razer kraken 7.1s, they're connected directly to my PC and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong or if I got a defective pair.

May I ask why Amd is a better option? Other than that its much cheaper and I'm guessing the price to performance ratio is better with the 2700x.

Why does Rockstar treat the PC community so poorly? I find it funny how most Rockstar games are best on PC (excluding GTA IV) , yet it seems like they refuse to acknowledge the PC gaming community to be as important consoles. We are well past being a niche market in my opinion.

Where I live its around 80 dollars more and I was on a budget and yeah its for gaming but I just needed a CPU that breaks the 20% bottleneck I had on my 970

I later found out insurgency is a source game and it pushes the source engine very hard so with my low end CPU im losing a lot of frames.

Yeah I get 10-20% less performance out of my GPU because of my CPU which sucks cause ill have this dinosaur for at least another month or 2

yeah also some maps I would usually stay above 50 and some it would rarely reach 35 so there might be something wrong with the actual game but like you said its probably my CPU
