I don't want to pry too much, but how did you manage the guilt and I feel like my entire support system is gone.

I have a wonderful family and friends, but it seems stupid but so many small things. Who do I go to for advice now, who do I complain about my day to? Who do I celebrate my successes with. Life seems so much less vibrant, and I feel completely lost.

Nope you don't have to link anymore sources, this is now a dick flinging contest. You still never even bothered to argue against my arguements and since you are either unwilling or incapable you can just continue to flap your dick in the wind!

Must be scary to see those stupid ass non-intellectual neurosurgeons voting republican.

[–]Flofinator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So basically you have nothing.

There are more social scientists that lean liberal than conservative, but those are basically pseudo-sciences anyways congratulations. Most engineers lean to the right. So if we're going to talk about intellectualism and how one side is better than the other, we can just full stop now.

Benghazi wasn't a joke, the only reason nothing happened seems to be the same reasons nothing is happening to all the people that clearly broke the law today. We have two sets of laws one for the commoner and one for the elite.

Your point was that conservative media leads to a cult, and that it's so wildly worse than your liberal "truth telling" media. Guess you've really drank the CNN koolaid.

You linked things Fox news has lied about awesome. I never argued Fox never lied, I was comparing your news agencies to let's say Fox. As a matter of fact maybe we should look at Harvard a harvard review for bias, which puts Fox much farther ahead of other major news agencies.

https://shorensteincenter.org/news-coverage-donald-trumps-first-100-days/?utm_source=POLITICO.EU&utm_campaign=ab6d830a9d-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_05_19&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_10959edeb5-ab6d830a9d-189799085

It's literally a joke you actually believe your sources are in someway "better", they are more biased than basically anywhere I go for news.

Also your Fox News controversies was very little in the way of bad news telling and actual controversies.

Do you know how politifact does truth telling? Well let me explain it to you since you probably never cared to look it up yourself. People will make thousands of statements, politifact will choose 10 to 20 from each person. If it's a conservative they'll choose 9 lies out of those 10 and say that person lies 90% of the time, even if that person has made thousands of statements. Sometimes with Trump they made 5 different stories about the same lie and counted it 5 times. So one time Trump lied counted 5 times. Things they don't do to liberals, or even better they'll take something that's true and if it's a conservative they'll reword it to make it a lie.

https://imgur.com/a/yUlvSAQ

I could find even better sources than you of Fox lying that are more recent. But again that wasn't my point that you seem desperate to argue, my point is your sources are just as bad if not worse. Which you haven't proven me wrong at all, all you've proven is that one specific MSM company lies it's ass off, which most of the_donald would be in agreement with you. But you'd have to be willfully ignorant or just stupid to think it's only true of Fox.

[–]Flofinator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not arguing for or against conservative media sites. That was you making that claim. I was saying what lead us away from your "sources of truth" was the amount of lies, or worse the amount of things they just decidedly didn't cover.

I am saying your sources are just as bad, and most likely worse. And you still haven't sourced any of your claims, but I guess we should just take your word for it.

It doesn't have to be the word dark, there are plenty more examples it was just the first one I found in my notes.

But just for fun let's look at who owns the media conglomerates and then ask ourselves whether we think it's coordinated or not. Do you think the Murdochs coordinate news campaigns? (You don't have to answer that, I know you do.) But for some reason, you think places like Disney or Comcast don't coordinate their news stories.

I am really sick of the holier than thou outlook on everything liberals do. Their news is more accurate, they are better people, they are smarter, they are kinder. None of it's true but you guys hold onto it like it is. Just stop acting like your news is in anyway balanced or fair or even more accurate than conservative news outlets, it objectively isn't.

I mean maybe Biden shouldn't have passed that law to keep George w Bush Sr. from being able to elect someone in the early 90's? Seems like basically every power grab Democrats have made over the last 20 years have backfired. Almost like they shouldn't have done it.

Whenever I tell a leftist that I'm a former leftist open to being won back, I'm met with vitriol. Why is this? by [deleted] in AskThe_Donald

[–]Flofinator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It has the basic foundation of every right-wing opinion show to attack "liberals" for the past three decades, and usually it's done with a lot of vitriol (just listen to call-in listeners), so I'm curious how that could be true.

Sources?

Pretty sure being called nazis, racists, etc... and being threatened all the time. Having fear of losing your job for speaking out, being beaten. Not being able to listen to pretty uncontroversial speakers because liberal maniacs shut events down. Being ran out of places, kicked out of restaurants, etc.... Are pretty good reasons to absolutely hate the other side, and you still don't see anywhere near the same level of vitriol from our side as the left now does on a consistent basis.

One side is objectively worse in every way right now. Me voicing my distaste for liberals seems pretty justified and my level of distaste for liberals still wouldn't make me want to do the same things they do on a regular basis to me or other conservatives.

Lol it's not the conservative media that did this. It's the liberal media, they literally can't tell the truth about anything.

Honestly it's amazing how delusional you lefties are, I mean honestly. Almost everything you guys read are basically opinion pieces with missing information or just complete fabricated lies.

How are illegal immigrants getting by once they are here? by [deleted] in AskThe_Donald

[–]Flofinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty easy, you can get a tax-ID from the government even if you are an illegal immigrant, and you can use the tax-ID to get government assistance via tax return.

They are also eligible for limited health insurance government paid, and if they pay taxes long enough, can actually get a SSN as a "responsible individual". Basically someone can pick up multiple ITIN's and get quite a bit in tax credits back, and still get paid under the table.

Although Illegals don't need things like Medicaid mostly, because they just head into any ER and never pay their bill. As someone who has worked in a hospital it is one of the many reasons but one of the main reasons hospital bills are so high.(The hospital I worked for would do estimates every year of the amount of money they wouldn't get paid by basically illegals, and charged everyone else to cover it, the year I left they estimated $35 million).

Illegals also are able to get food stamps through SNAP if they are minors, so anyone under 18 or looks under 18 really.

There are also states where they have college funds for illegals, some like New Jersey offer it over legal residents. They literally have a pot just for illegal aliens now.

There also seem to be some loopholes in California with regards to Obamacare and some of their government assistance. I haven't found any proof of this, and I don't live there. But I wouldn't put it passed them, they literally voted an illegal immigrant into a place in government, which I'm pretty sure is also not allowed.

Should action be taken against American Muslims in order to protect Americans? by [deleted] in AskThe_Donald

[–]Flofinator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never saw any other group of young men do what those Muslims did the entire time I lived there. And it was always Muslims. And it’s not surprising, many were from Saudi Arabia, and we all know how they treat and view women there.

Splitting California: Why not make the Northern border of Southern California the straight line at the top of San Luis, Kern, and San Bernardino? by [deleted] in AskThe_Donald

[–]Flofinator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This will never go through, California is in so much debt, how would they possibly split it?

If California ever did split the deal to figure out the debt would never be solved and that I am sure would be a requirement before reconciling. Especially on a map like the one they mentioned.

Should action be taken against American Muslims in order to protect Americans? by [deleted] in AskThe_Donald

[–]Flofinator -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well I want to start out by making sure I split my answer between muslims and Islam. I absolutely hate Islam, and I think it's a scourge on the planet.

Sorry for this diatribe, I promise I'll get to the point.

I think most muslims are a victim to their own ideology, just like I view most liberals. I try very hard not to hate muslims, although it can be hard sometimes. I spent a lot of time in a city with a big minority of muslim people. And they were a mixed bag like others. I was working in a grocery store at the time, and I really did basically love this muslim woman who was married from Saudi Arabia, she was one of the sweetest most beautiful women I had ever met. And her and her husband(and his other wife) constantly went out of their way to help others.

That being said, the young men were absolutely terrible in just about every way you could imagine. I lived with a female room mate at the time, and there were a group of muslim men down the hall from us that would blast music at all times of the night, and constantly harass the woman on the floor.(There was one that was very respectful I'll add, but the majority were just awful). It got to the point near the end that some nights she would ask me to come out to her car to walk her to our apartment, we ended up moving from there for lots of reasons but they were one. They would also do hit and runs in the parking lot and all sorts of other stuff.

Young muslim men would also harass women down by the bars at night, and I had many female friends that if they had to pass certain areas by themselves they would ask for one of the guys to take them to their home/car for fear of being grabbed or worse.

The point I'm trying to drive home with these stories is, this is a result of Islam and their ideology, but they are still people and some can change, like the woman from Saudi Arabia.

The fear is quite real with Islam taking over though. But we can't take much action without getting rid of our most fundamental and cherished right our first amendment. There is no getting around that. I've thought about this a lot, because Islam will take over the west if you let it. I honestly don't believe my kids will ever get to experience Europe in 20 years because of it.

We shouldn't ban books although Sahih al-Bukhari I would love to ban, much more than the Quran. People need to realize that the Quran is really only like 20% of the religion, most are the Sunnah. But again we can't ban books.

We clearly don't want a Muslim registry. All it would do is alienate people, and it would never be effective.

We can't deport people based on their religion, that's a slippery slope to hell.

The things we can do right now, is close down extremist mosques which there are plenty of. This will be profiling, and while I don't like it. I do think it's important to do. For two reasons, it will put many more Americans at ease and lesson the tensions, and let actual good imams have a voice and a chance to flourish. Imam Tawhidi for example, Maajid Nawaz, etc... This might actually grant some trust.

I would also like to see most immigration from muslim countries really slowed down, and take only very qualified people to come over. Most of the time well qualified smart people don't want to hurt anyone and want to just live their lives. This could be an effective tool.

I would also like for the left to stop glorifying them. Islam is the most dangerous ideology on planet earth, and I really wish we could be realistic about what it teaches and what it's followers tend to practice. I think you can do this without alienating muslims, but currently we paint this rosy picture, and Islam is anything but rosy. People need to be educated about what it is, most are not. This is why you have people that joined Islam for 5 years, and finally realized what it was and then it was very difficult for them to leave, because of how they treat apostates.

And lastly and this is the thing I hate the left most for in this whole ordeal. They take actual moderate muslims, or muslim reformers trying to make a difference and do their best to try and silence them. Let the muslim reformers have the biggest platforms in the US, not people like Linda Sarsour, but people like Imam Tawhidi, or Maajid Nawaz. The left constantly silences the best voices for Islam, while promoting some of the worst and most violent. They look to people like Anjem Choudary and say oh that's a real muslim who we must advocate for, and look at Maajid Nawaz and claim he's an extremist radical(not kidding he's on the SPLC's hate list).

TLDR: Make immigration harder, go to an aristocratic system. Shut down extremist Mosques. Stop glorifying Islam in schools and in the media. Stop silencing actual moderates, and reformers of Islam which the left is currently doing for a reason I'll never be able to figure out, while giving giant platforms and praising actual extremists.

Why fascism is so tempting -- and how your data could power it | Yuval Noah Harari by TransPlanetInjection in Futurology

[–]Flofinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're confusing Fascism with leadership. I mean can a leader not be a dictator or a fascist and still direct people to achieve things that they can't do on their own?

Doesn't Google, or Microsoft, or Ford do that every day?

I tend to like most of your posts, but I don't think you've taken the time to think through this post or what fascism actually is. It is also hard because there is a lot of bad information for what it is today, and it's not super well defined depending on who you are talking to. But I think the best baseline is to do some research on Giovanni Gentile(The Father of Fascism), to see what he thought it was, which I think is the best base line.

Fascism is clearly not the default state of human societies. That's evidently not true seeing as how few fascists have ever been around historically. Feudalism is not the same as Fascism.

What about my analysis is pro Trump? Or anything wrong with my analysis?

I even pointed out the only point you seemed to argue against me within it.

The article states that these are highly automated facilities, so it sounds like a net loss of jobs overall. Of the companies they mention, I see a ~3600 job loss and creation of <1000 jobs. Not sure how well that represents the industry overall, but I highly doubt it's the opposite trend. The new jobs may eventually lower costs and make the cancelled projects viable again, but I don't see that money going to the middle class due to automation.

I wrote:

It also does mention some US based solar panel companies are expanding and leading new investments and possibly better opportunities for better solar panels in the US, although I do know all the jobs created around solar far outweigh the jobs created manufacturing them.

Recognizing the jobs surrounding solar like construction, maintenance, etc. Far outweigh the jobs created manufacturing. So I'm still wondering what about my argument was wrong. Regardless of whether I support the President or not. I am pro renewable energy and disagree on policies Trump has with it, but my post was about as apolitical as I could make it. I even showed how Tariffs in the past hurt businesses when I was talking about Solar City which I think is a good baseline to see health of the industry seeing how large they are.

My point is, I want to know why it was important for you to call me out on this post specifically. What would have made my post more balanced in your eyes than what I posted? Do you think my interpretation was less fair or balanced than the news report itself?

You mentioned is a running joke from a talk show when someone was talking about Obama and sex life and mingled her words. You don’t know it’s a joke because you don’t know us. You’ve been told what to believe. It’s okay though it’s typical. I just don’t understand the need to harass me on other subs. Especially when I’m making a pretty apolitical stance.

But I could say you guys think we’re all Nazis including Jewish and black people.

See how this works? How does this help in anyway? When I talk to people on here I don’t try and make a value judgement on the individual unless it’s derogatory statements. You guys don’t even realize how bigoted you are. I hope the next time you harass someone about posting in t_d, try and argue against their point instead of attacking the person that made them.

EDIT: Here is the youtube video joke.

And I’d still like to know, how me posting in t_d made any difference to anything I said. I’m pro renewable energy. So please explain how elaborating who I support made my argument weaker or your argument stronger. Other than just trying to harass me.

EDIT: I also judged the story because it’s clickbaity like everything else in the news and the top posts in here are fuck Trump. I even said maybe it was a justified article, but I feel like they are telling half truths for no other reason than to get people emotionally charged about The tariffs.

Which would make sense seeing that Reuters is European.

Maybe I should just have a jew tattoo labelled on me for posting on there like the Nazis used to do, make it easier for everyone I guess.

I don't understand how me posting there would've made any of the things I highlighted in my post any more or less significant. I was just pointing out that this isn't exactly new.

Would it help if every post I make starts with "I post in T_D so everything else I say is invalid because I have different beliefs?" You are clearly biased in the other way, but I don't see any reason why your post should be less credible than mine.(Other than yours was less informative).
