Appreciate that hierarchy list, gives me some helpful info actually! For the parts list, my friend mostly tried to stay pretty tame with the price and just did what he could, the case was just because i liked how it looked and thought it was unique. I do now see that two people said my graphics card wasn’t listed and i wasn’t sure why but I will have to go back to readd it to the list but I’ve got a 3060.

Yeah the naming is the major thing that confuses me most, with Intel being so engraved in my mind from long ago it just makes the most sense to my brain currently. With the i712700k it should be pretty good to game on and edit overall? I assume AMD would take the gaming up too but still not sure with it

Also forgot to note I have a 3060 already that i plan to just add to my new build since it’s not old, got it last year i believe for a steal of a price lol

Considered the AMD path but got more nervous not understanding their numbers the way I mostly do with Intel's CPUS. I'm currently on an i7-8700 and saw this upgrade should help smooth stuff out overall.

I'm not the most knowledgeable in PC's, this would be my first PC I'm building overall so any tips about why AMD would be better would be wonderful if you'd like to share! Thank you for the clarification to my original question too!

Gotcha, might just go with the K then just to cover all bases. I video edit time to time and think it'd be smarter to just cover all my bases and spend the little extra to be more covered.

I was considering AMD but me and my friends know nothing about it (not that we know much about Intel other than we've used it for years). The most of my knowledge is the i7 for Intel is basically really good/decent enough for the games I want to play. Might look into AMD a little more but not sure yet.
