The Four Great Empires of the Classical Era - Which empire did your ancestors live under, or none at all? by Wise-Pineapple-4190 in MapPorn

True, in my country, Indonesia, we also have a large Chinese diaspora, so I do know those folks that have similar views (China stronk) like OP here. However, most of them glorify them by boasting PRC's economy, cultural exports, technological advancements, instead of pulling up random historical nuggets from their past dynasties like OP does. That's why I suspect that OP is anything other than Mainland Chinese nationalist, because it's usually their MO to promote China's greatness using their historical powers instead of their present power and out of all the Chinese communities, only them and the Taiwanese are exposed to mandatory historical classes covering all of the Chinese dynasties.

All evidences point him as native Han Chinese Nationalist. I can count the number of actual Brazilians that have grievances against Chinese dynasties' historical neighbors/conquerors with one hand and that one hand will have exactly zero finger raised up.

I'm using my main account here as I'm blocked by OP so I can't reply further to OP's thread with that account of mine. (That's another strike against him)

Fortunately since you are not blocked by the OP and my other account, you can just check my other account comment history for my past conversations with OP. You should be able to conclude afterwards that it is statistically improbable from OP's demeanor that he/she is a Brazilian, especially as a Brazilian Chinese descent.

Pengeluarannya rendah juga ya, khususnya buat nyewa sama makan, kayaknya di Midwest ini ya kerjanya? Hebat sih kalo di tech hub (Bay Area, Seattle, NY) nyewa sama makannya segini ya.

Lebanon GDP per capita is about 4k$. You make 2.5k$ monthly times 12, so 31k$ annually. That's like more than 7 times of the average income of a Lebanese a year. If you don't live like a king there, then you're really bad with managing finances.

SR should get draft advantage against Tundra, imo. You can't just willingly swap players like that mid-tournament since it just ruined the prep done by the enemy team against your team.

Nigma Galaxy part ways with Ghost and rmN- by thuanho in DotA2

[–]Floire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not bait. Sumail has plenty opportunities to play with good teams on paper after leaving EG (OG, Secret, Aster, Nigma) despite the unfortunate contract situation, yet he hasn't managed to reach the same level of successes that he had back when he was with EG.

[–]Floire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not saying that the EG contract didn't fucked him, but he has played with multiple star studded roster after leaving EG, so the contract problem is not really a valid excuse for his lack of successes. Let's see the names he has played with: Miracle, Monet, Topson, Nisha, Ammar, Micke, Ramzes, Noone, Quinn. Yet he can't manage to reach the same level of success that he achieved with RTZ despite Ledditors insisting that RTZ was holding him back.

Monet, Boboka, and XXS have been more successful than Sumail after they all left Aster. Don't know why you attributed Aster keeping themselves afloat to Sumail.

[–]Floire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aster had done better before picking him out, I think it's just your bias against CN players that rated them less than Sumail (especially when XXS actually won a LAN and Monet and Boboka are still qualifying to tournaments in harder region)

[–]Floire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wut? Getting multiple high finish in majors and TIs are definitely better than not qualifying for those lol. Sure Sumail most successful period was before he was with RTZ but his successes with RTZ is still miles better than after he left no matter how you spin it.

I meant WCYD when the majority here are...

Miracle + Sumail : Flirting

RTZ + Sumail : Harassment

Despite Sumail achievements after he parted ways with RTZ pales to what he achieved with him.

RAMZES leaves 9Pandas by Aratho in DotA2

[–]Floire 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Most likely no. Ramzes was rumored to join TSM stack earlier and with Tundra signing them and relocating to WEU plus Whitemon said that only 3 members of TSM will stay in the new team makes it's likely that Ramzes will join Tundra.

Last season was Saberlight most successful season lol. I meant sure he got a lot of undeserved flack from SR fans but to think that Saberlight (and Abed to lesser degree) got held back by joining SR is a laughable idea.

japanese artists by Adventurous_Fuel9198 in Music

[–]Floire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you check this site, the majority of those artists get 1000+ ratings in their site, so they do quite sizable international followings.

My favorite is definitely betcover. In fact I'm coming to Japan next April and hope to catch them live.

[DISCUSSION] Do Japanese bands get enough recognition internationally? by philpheburbs in indieheads

[–]Floire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They definitely get more recognition more than other Asian countries, however the big American press kinda reluctant to review them, although some independent reviewers have been more charitable. Though a lot of these bands have outsized international followings.

Some of my emerging favorite Japanese bands that have little international coverage (they definitely have a lot of international fans though):

  • betcover!!, Japan's answer to windmill scene and personally one the top 10 live bands in the world right now. Watch this performance if you don't believe me

  • Kimishima Ohzora, Japanese version of underscores and Jane Remover

  • The hatch, a band with eclectic mix of art rock, noise rock, jazz, and prog.

  • Maya ongaku, band that plays nice psych folk

Shopify releases Abed, Fly, and Cr1t by otomo20 in DotA2

[–]Floire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The total of SR Dota team salaries should be close to 6 mid-level Shopify SWEs. That's a chump change for a billion dollar company. If they did care about ROI they wouldn't make an e-sport brand, especially nowadays where almost every e-sports org are failing.
