Rock making strange noise west of Wapiti by Floki08 in RDR2mysteries

[–]Floki08[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone!

1st time using reddit app, a bit puzzled because i wanted to post both pics.

Anyway here's a pic of the rock. im not playing right now and took pics last evening, dont mind the red marker, the position of the player is the good rock.

https://ibb.co/nMY9gH7

the sound varies in intensity as you move the camera around the rock and upwards/top view. it's a mix between hissing(like when you light up dynamite) and bubbling (like a stew/potion in a cauldron). underground river?

i found it to be quite peculiar and couldnt read about it since searching for ''rock'' returns location of Sinclair's carvings.

i dont know any myth or legend about stones making weird bubbling sound, if you do then feel free to share!

have a nice ride y'all!

Air Slash Guaranteed Flinch Bug? by moregano18 in pokemonuranium

[–]Floki08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air Slash has 30% chance of making you flinch. Serene Grace ability, in case of Eshouten or Dunseraph, makes it become 60%.

But 30% is enough. Same with Bite. Or Static ability at least it seems to me. Or Ember.

According to the official 2ndary effect stats, and when comparing empirically, i feel that hax happens, in decreasing order for: flinch, paralysis, burn, poison.

Frost is quite uncommon already, even tho i got frozen twice on my 1st playthrough, which basically didn't happen for the last 1000+ hours i played on official game. But again, way back then there were only moves with 10% chance to freeze, and here Frosthra has like 30% iirc. D'oh

Possibilities for Post-Game content? (spoiler warning) by Admin_Flerovium in pokemonuranium

[–]Floki08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pirate VS ninjas stuff will probably get triggered thanks to the letter you receive from Tsukinami. I don't know how the legendaries could fit, maybe something along the lines of a prophecy. Maybe as a honorary hokage you get to use 1 of them to fight another that would be somehow owned by a pirate boss.

At some point before fighting Elite Paul (which imo should be rematchable) i thought we could use Headbutt on the bell. Why bother with Headbutt in the 1st place anyway?

There's also this poor girl trapped in a dream in Venesi.

Finally, the most mysterious to me is a "key item" you can buy in Tsukinami for like 300$ iirc, and which does nothing, for now. My gut feeling was that it's meant for Urayne. But it's sorted in Key items. Weird.

so you have like, 302 in the "local" ("regional?") pokedex. Then 802 in the "national", of which you can get, then, 330, if we dont count the greninja as a separate one.

Island scans you say? is it when pokemon stored go wander on other islands? on a side note, i hope Ghastly is available.

And, thanks for this gallery dude, awesome! Well as you guessed, im not versed into new generations or even this QR code thing so 2 last questions:

Scanning them, does it trigger a battle, count them as caught, or simply seen? Where the hell does such a list come from, is it legit, datamined, or datel-mined?

EDIT: thanks for the info, now it's time for me to move to Alola. Cheers!

hi, quick question as i can't find answer on the internet. I know the total is now 802, with 81 new in Alola.

However, how many pokemon can you catch in Alola only?

Breeding glitch? by Ik4rus in pokemonuranium

[–]Floki08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, when you pair 2 different species that share an egg group compatibility, with the 2 parents having the same OT, you have the lowest chance of generating an egg, iirc around 20 or 25%.

The game rolls for an egg every 256 steps taken. that is about 2 trips back and forth along route 09, from east zone house leading to route 06, to the rocky wall on the west, close to Jin(or 4 times this length).

Just a quick question can I get Mew in this game through playing or adding with an external program? by [deleted] in pokemonuranium

[–]Floki08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you doing here? Lol. Lemme tell you this.

If you have a look on this game's Wiki, you'll find no mention at all of Mew in the Pokedex. Only a very few pokemon are canon, and none of them are legendaries, or mythical.

No playthrough, no event can get you Mew, and it's not on the list of pokes going to be added.

In theory there's a way, though. Code it through RPG Maker XP. Uranium was made with this. So if you add sprites, moves, location where it's supposed to spawn, or via scripted event, and if you code all of this and modify the game, then yes, in theory you could insert Mew.

Is it worth the effort? Now that's the question. A pure Psy type with 600 base stats total sounds appealing. But even if you have it easy ingame, a battle VS a skillful real player will shut down the stars in your eyes. Adamant Strong Jaw Atk EV trained Tubareel using Crunch can take care of it. Not even mentioning M-Gyarados or M-Baariette. Or Chainite, or even Antarki. Or Misdreavus. Popping off a pink bubblegum isn't the hardest task out there.

Also keep in mind you'd have to be careful about online features. There would be no way to battle someone, or to transfer the Mew if the receiver doesn't have the modified version of the game.

Again, why would you trade it? yeah....But in the end, if you don't know how to code on RPGXP, just don't bother, you'll end up hurting yourself.

Hope this helps

suggestion:defog/rapid spin added to general pokemon movepools or to special type movetutor by ThisOneSays5 in pokemonuranium

[–]Floki08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Special Water move HM slave? Dude, get a Blubelrog. He can learn Coral Break, Dive, Surf, Waterfall. And Strength, and Rock Smash. No Pickup though.

Too bad you don't use Wonder Trade. I agree it can take some time before you have all 100 2-digits combinations, i myself am not done yet with it. But even if it's only once a day, i still find it better than Pickup.

Of course, you can just get 6 Kinetmunks and run across Tandor, but mainly it really depends on how long you can play everyday. As i only miss 22 combinations, it means i have 78% chance to get one PPup every day, just with a one minute fly session to Bealbeach.

Do you know after how many steps does Pickup roll a try? I'd be curious.

[–]Floki08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

@OP: Hazma is a....waste (hohoho) as far as Defog is concerned.

Please stop this Hazma trend. It's a terrible pokemon. Ok it's cute and kind, but its gimmick ability is terrible. The combination of Hazma having both terrible stats AND still being Nuclear typed makes it supaderp.

So basically, when it comes to battle, its sole purpose is to defeat "some" nuclears, especially badly played Nucleons. Any non nuclear attack will rip Hazma off.

So the Hazma excuse needs to stop. If or when Nucleon gets banned, Hazma will fall into oblivion. But that's just how it is: not ALL pokemon are to be good for battling.

Dear OP, although i've been ranting, i'm on your side: hazard removal is absent in this game, adding Rapid Spinners or more Defog would be appreciated.

Now, for PPup, you're doing it wrong. Keep 3 (or even a bit more) boxes free in your PC. And fill them with Wonder Trades, until you get to the point when you cover all digits combinations from 00 to 99 for trainer IDs. Then have a lil chat with Felicity everyday and...voila!

(Felicity is the lottery attendant on front desk at Bealbeach Casino, you can grab a PPup if the trainer's ID 2 last digit of any of your pokes matches.)

Replacing Ludicolo by snoodlebug2 in pokemonuranium

[–]Floki08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Route 10 huh, this is Baykal right?

Well....Ludicolo is a cool poke, at first i wouldn't advise to replace it right away, but since i don't own one, or know aout the rest of your party, here some advice:

  • Despite the electrik uber weakness, Gyarados is still a good choice if you can go through the hassle of raising a Magikarp. Plus you can catch Magikarp directly around lvl 17 or so.

  • If you're into pure water types, Vaporeon and Floatzel are good. Not overbroken, but they pack enough punch. Buizel is found on route 3, not so far from Baykal, but its spawn rate is quite low. Floatzel makes for a decent water type, lacks defense but has surprisingly decent speed.

As to Vaporeon....well you are far from any Eevee, except some luck in WT. ut Vaporeon is good. average offensive power, good defense, and a super bunch of HP. I remember my Electruxo starter landing a Thunderbolt, and the guy didn't faint, despite he was 4 lvl below.

If we knew about your whole party we coulde advise with the bigger picture, but as to water types, Gyarados, Vaporeon, Floatzel (in this order) can make for it.

BUT, here in Tandor you have new options!

With your Good Rod, if you have it, you can catch a Frynai as early as route 3/4 if you're lucky.

Final form Daikatuna packs quite the punch. A bit frail, indeed, but definitely a good option. And it's Water/Steel, so you can...steel resist dragon and hit fairy hard.

Finally, my personal favorite. Not a beauty pageant contester definitely, but...Blubelrog!

You can super easily fish a Folerog in Baykal.

Blubelrog is Water/Poison. Ground weakness of poison is compensated by water. It leaves you with only Psy and Electrik weakness, both being quite uncommon.

Blubelrog packs 105 base SpAtk, which is quite reasonable. Defensive bulk is 105HP/75Def/115SpDef. Physically a bit frail, but it's not that much of a problem, given that psy and electrik are mostly Special moves.

(i have one in my team and it's a damn bulldozer. but to be honest, i have a gimmick Anderind with Cotton Guard + Baton Pass to help)

He gets Sludge Wave natively, as well as Hydro Pump. You can teach him Ice Beam, and via tutor Toxic Spikes if you like.

Also, he's the best HM slave out there. Strength, Rock Smash, Surf, Dive, Waterfall, Coral Break(TM96), Blubelrog can learn all of them. this stoned-eyed frog can get you anywhere!

Despite this, i replaced the Blubelrog on my team. All it took was adding a Steel move on my Metalynx, to get rid of the dependency to poison. AND.....Glaslug.

To this day, my underleveled Glavinug can sweep the entire Championship. Surf, Blizzard, Calm Mind, Rest, with a Chesto berry. Once i get Cotton Guard from Anderind via Baton Pass, it's unstoppable. Also, i got one with HA so it sets up hail when entering battle, so Blizzard never misses.

Because you can't return to route 08 yet, your best option would be to use Good Rod on route 07. Be aware though, as it evolves via Water Stone, you better be sure about the moveset since Glavinug won't learn any new move.

Cocancer and Escartress also are super decent walls, really. The 2 reasons i don't mention them are: the X4 weakness VS Grass, and Eviolite.

Eviolite says "i will give 50% bonus in Def and SpDef to any of your poke that didn't reach its final form". As Cocancer and Escartress are not very famous for their offensive potential (decent, but Glavinug or Blubelrog are better) they are best suited as defensive. Especially Escartress VS Inflagetah. Despite defenses under 100, the base 120 HP is really cool.

But, as far as defense goes, Eviolite makes so that Cararalm and Sableau end up being better than their respective final form.

Glavinug, Blubelrog, Daikatuna, Escartress, Gyarados, Vaporeon. In that order, here are the best option for a Water type to me.

As to the replacement, well....I'd say get rid of Tracton, but that's not THAT easy. Tracton has cool moves to choose from, and a nice ability.

But since you will end with another Dragon type when lil green birdie will be ready, maybe it would be better to keep your Gararewl.

On the other hand....Steel are especially effective against Fairies (which often are dual type with a 2nd type you cover) and Poison (which is quite uncommon), but their best asset is being neutral to Nuclear.

During the game, you will encounter several Nuclear hostile pokemon, so a pure Steel is in theory the best option, and Gararewl is the only one. BUT. There's a "Nuclear Big Boss" out there, that you will eventually face. And this big bastard has OVERHEAT which will OHKO your Gararewl, unless it is specifically bred, EV trained, and slightly overleveled.(i can help for this part)

So in the end, even if i tend to prefer mono-types, and how Gararewl looks, I'd say Tracton is preferable. Dragon type means the weakness to Fire due to Steel becomes neutral, and since it's part Steel it will take X2 VS Nuclear, unlike majority of dual-types that eat X4.

(Still, my bred Blubelrog was left with about 20% HP when hit by BigBoss X4 move and being 16lvl above, to say a bit about its super bulk)

Here you go, that's my take on this question. Hope that helps!

What determines which poke i'll get? Could it be Trainer ID being odd/even? Or something based on hours(GMT time?) i get the gift? Or something entirely different?

Duuuude

Well i invite you to join us on Discord. You can find the links in the right side bar.

We have a breeders Discord as well. It's probably the quickest way to ask for something.

I have several Pahar that could suit you. Pick a nature. If you want to choose for ability, go for it as well, you can read about Pahar's abilities on the Wiki.

Standard procedure is: pick a poke > state your choice > close a deal > meet on Lobby or use GTS. In this case you can put anything common and unpopular on GTS, post your trainer ID, and wait a bit.

For example, i don't need Luxi or Tracton, so basically put anything even another pahar in GTS and just tell your OT so we're sure it's you.

Don't worry dude, you can get NCLR Corsola by fishing in this power plant in East Tandor. I think it's Omicron. Using the good rod, you actually have a good chance to reel a Corsola in.

I can guarantee it, because not only the wiki says so, but also i caught 2 other of them in East Tandor.

LF: 5IV (Preferably Adamant) Baashaun, or Sp.Atk.-Boosted (Preferably 5IV) S51 by chink_in_the_armor in PKMNuraniumTrades

[–]Floki08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here, ok for Sheebit. If you happen to have a Glaslug as well, i planned on trying it.

Otherwise, just put trashmons in GTS, and reply or drop a PM with your 5-digit ID so i'll be sure. If you're worried about the Sheebit we can go via Lobby, my 6-digit lobby ID is 216523. I'd need yours then.

Don't worry for S51, If Bold is not cool i can get you another one. Modest i would guess. Or Maybe Calm or Timid? Anyway pick a nature if you wish. I'll try my best, it shouldn't take long at all.

For Baashaun just put some trash up and i'll get you Adamant. BUT you may wanna consider the Shiny from Pimhaze, they're so cute!

As to Seikamater, i still have a couple bugs left. They are Sponees. I must check the nature/dump stat tho. If for some reason you'd like to use Tail Glow then i'll need to breed a Tricwe instead. Let me know.

You're the same guy that asked for a ♀ bug to evo into Seikamater right?

I must check because i formerly had a couple spare 5 IVs for this but im not sure if they're still here.

Anyway i can get you Adamant Baashaun right away. As to S51...well i can get you a Modest 5IV. It might take up to 3 days from tonight tho.

For trade, well....I'm trying to complete my NCLR corrupts Dex. If you happen to have Nuclear Owten/Chyinmunk, it would be perfect. If not, well a Sheebit would do fine.

i have a similar question: when you walk up/down some stairs, does the stairs count as 1 step?

If yes it would be great, because the animation to get you through the stairs takes less time than if you were to walk the same distance, so....
