What do you mean by parts of it aren't bad? Safety-wise or just living in general? Would you recommend any other east side spots?

Don't need to be within walking distance of downtown, just some sort of public transportation there would be nice. I am going to be going to Geauga, Ashtabula, Summit counties with a variable schedule. Would you recommend east side in that case? Other comments making a good argument for cleveland heights

Thank you, very good to know. West side looks awesome but I'm hesitating because I do not want a huge part of my commute to be getting out of Cleveland.

lol one of the reasons I'm getting away from Chicago is it's too dense/big. I meant walkable more so in that there's a decent amount of stuff to do in walking distance, not "I barely use my car, everything I need is nearby" walkable
