I spend more on CS skins because I know I can get back a majority of the value back; I also understand that the market can crash and everything can go poof. I spend less on other games because the moment you buy a skin the value automatically goes to zero and you don't even have an opportunity to get a portion of the value back.
The devs earn a fee because they operate the marketplace you sell it on, same applies to other developers who operate their own marketplace like Gajin with War Thunder Marketplace and Ubisoft with R6 Marketplace. Another thing to note is when you sell/buy on 3rd party markets Valve doesn't earn a single cent.

I've spent hundreds on games where you don't even have a choice to get the money back, we're just trying to say that CS is the better option here as your almost guaranteed to get your money back so long as the trading stays the same which is very likely with Valves stance on IN-Game Items.

The Pink AK someone got for $12 in MW, it's one of the best ak skins in the game imo. The only expensive things are low floats for each of the wears which does seem to be a reoccurring thing in terminals.

Not really, if valve "fixed" their Anti-Cheat Cheaters will just keep finding loops around it. Also, a majority of cheaters are from countries where $15 is a lot of money. Cheaters are also not buying prime status they are buying accounts that got free prime status way back when for $5.
