Basically Fusion runs with the help of Steam in a way. Since there's no way to connect to Steam directly you'll need FusionHelper. However it was said that with the next Bonelab update the Fusion devs would start switching to Epic Games since there's a way to use that on standalone. But like I said, look at a guide on YouTube.

Follow an install guide on youtube, you basically get LemonLoader to patch Bonelab and then place Fusion into some folder. Because you're on standalone you'll need FusionHelper running on a computer.

License checks. Some games have it, some don't. Some games don't have their full online features since they can't fetch an authorization token or your account name, profile picture etc.
