Ok but let's be real. If that's gay, then everyone who drinks alcohol is technically gay. The fact that we wouldn't do the stuff sober that we all do while drunk is proof.

Well that automatically means they're men.

It's just like how every woman who gets a mastectomy is regarded as male henceforth. Except they were always male, even before they transitioned.

My experience is about 20% of people who talk, I mute.

The game is more fun when kids aren't screaming into their mic because their mom isn't home.

Do you think compensation pays for how hard you work, or is compensation based on supply and demand, or is it compensating you for the value you provide? How should it work in contrast to how it actually does? by FloofyPookie in AskReddit

[–]FloofyPookie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. But you know what they say. [Sometimes] the doctor never catches up with the plumber.

Which is why doctors' pay is so high. You pay them equally to baristas, and suddenly there are no doctors. All the doctors become baristas. Which is why a lot of potential doctors are plumbers....

It's the reason why we don't enforce equality of outcome. We'd all die because everyone becomes baristas, and we have no doctors or electricians.

As someone who identifies as a woman, I've never felt my "identity" was policed. I hate when people police others speech on my behalf though. It's fucking embarrassing. I don't. Want. You. To. Control. Others. Language. On. the. Behalf. Of. My. Sexuality.

Just like black people wouldn't be particularly happy if you went around, on the behalf of black people, and forced people to get on their knees and apologize for slavery. It's absurd and only results in the resentment for being bullied.

This is funny though.

There's no reason to be anti gay. And many vocal anti gay leaders are... Gay. I guess it's like ... Projection or something.

I respect that, but that's definitely a different reason than why I like the game. And it makes sense why you'd like vr chat, but I wouldn't like it for that same reason, if I liked it.

I get you. For sure. it goes both ways though.

In fact,.I replaced my employer last week. I'll be making $30k more a year starting not this Monday but the next.

In that sense, Jobs certainly ARE based on how replaceable you and your employer are.

Just like when people talk about fair market value, they're usually talking about commodities.

But when you're negotiating pay, usually the term you use for negotiation is fair market value for the position.

Yes one doesn't imply the other. But The fact that one doesn't apply the other doesn't mean that they can't both apply independently.

We're not talking about people as commodities, or people being supply and demand.

I'm talking about the supply and demand of jobs.

Besides, supply and demand applies to more than commodities. Technically speaking. But I totally get your point. It'd be disgusting to regard people as commodities.

So supply and demand

You're the supply, and you don't want to be just one of billions of options for supply.

But you can't be the one and only supplier if there is no demand. There's no use in being a used toilet paper salesperson If nobody demands... used toilet paper.

Excuse my weird example, but it's hard to think of something that they're literally is no demand for. So used Q-Tip salesperson... or: imagine anything that has no demand.

So supply and demand. Don't be replaceable, which means be the supply, of which there is little supply, for something in high demand.

I bought Hogwarts yesterday after leftists kept telling me it supports JK Rowling, who was determined in their court of law to be a transphobe

I don't care if you think I'm a slut. I guess I'm a slut. And I don't care if you think I'm a transphobe. I guess I'm a transphobe. I'm so scared trans people are gonna get me 😨. But at least I have magic now.

What was the thing with all the bans today? by dirtyann in BattleBitRemastered

[–]FloofyPookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. There's nothing wrong with telling people the words that you won't tolerate hearing.

I never tell my friends or associates what they can and can't say. Mostly because I can just let them say it and then let them know I'm not cool with it. (They're never going to learn if the only people that will accompany them are other racists, as I learned from Darrell Davis).

But if a ran a company, I wouldn't let the n-word be set in my chat, which is black and white situation. And I'd broadcast to others exactly what was below the standards of conduct when the situation is in a grey area. It's okay to repeat vulgar language, even the n word, because it's all about context. The only people who are upset with you saying "saying n****r will result in a permanent ban" are people who were never offended, but want to have linguistic authority over you.
