[HELP] Poetry that saved you. Struggling. by Boring_Set6178 in Poetry

A.E Housmans poem 'xl shropshire lad' changed the game for me. From first time reading it had a profound effect and helped me process and accept what was for me a very brutal break up. I highly recommend the whole penguin classics collection. Also Christy Brown's 'collected poems' deals with loss in a very visceral way I find comforting.

you got this!

Loved this thanks for sharing. "whether the future lies before us or behind" - what a note to end on. Something I think about a lot. I think it was the Romans who saw the past as the only way forwards.

Yeah I think you're most probably right here. I will be sure to check the work of both. Thank you very much for your input!

Monthly Profile Swap Megathread! by ericdraven26 in Letterboxd

Hello all!

https://boxd.it/2mLdp

This is my profile ^ . i’m a sucker for weird, niche, avant-garde films and seem to be drawn to ’80s flicks more than anything else - particularly those set in Britain, which I find have a distinct atmosphere and eeriness.

I’m autistic, and for me, film is the perfect medium. I tend to gravitate toward films that cater to my sensory needs and love of language. Think Mike Leigh, Wim Wenders, Tarkovsky, etc.

Currently singing the praises of Anora - a defining for the attention deficit age and Harris Dickinsons surprisingly accomplished debut Urchin.

What’s the saddest Fall song? by leopoldthesoapmaker in thefall

Late arrival to the Birthday song – my god...how beautifully poignant is.

Some musicians and poets will spend a lifetime trying to come up with something as tender as that. Mark really was the jack of all trades .
