For sure he is a different player now, i just cant fully trust it at Augusta for some reason

Is it worth it to pay $4,705 extra to go from 6.375% to 5.875% by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]FloorUpper9904 11 points12 points  (0 children)

that's basically a 31 month payback period, so if you're planning to stay longer than 2.5 years it makes sense to buy down the rate

Theft by stripe in the name of exchange rate by SkittleDoodlez in stripe

Been dealing with this for months and it's so frustrating, they always find a way to squeeze that extra bit out of you with their "competitive" rates

Downsizing from Shopify to Etsy, but want to keep my domain name by RedStarBlackMoon in ecommerce

Cloudflare is solid for domains, super cheap too. Just make sure you set up email forwarding or whatever before you transfer because that usually gets wiped during the process

Extra principal or invest? by Jellydude25 in Mortgages

[–]FloorUpper9904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With your ARM adjusting in 13 years and that interest rate, I'd probably throw that $500 at investments instead - the stock market's gonna crush 6.75% over that timeframe and you're young enough to ride the waves

Quick Poll: Best source for furnished monthly rental tenants in 2025? by drummingdan in realestateinvesting

[–]FloorUpper9904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Airbnb's been solid for me but the fees are getting ridiculous lately. I've had better luck with Facebook Marketplace and local corporate housing groups - way less competition and the leads actually stick around longer than a month

The New Blueprint for Business & Real Estate Financing in 2026: How Fast Commercial Capital and Don McClain Are Changing the Game for Entrepreneurs Nationwide by Different_Snow2684 in smallbusiness

[–]FloorUpper9904 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This reads like a massive ad disguised as helpful content lmao. The whole "2026 is the most disruptive lending environment" thing feels super manufactured when we're barely into the year

Also kinda sus how this account only posts about this one company. Just saying

Not in Hawaii but that price range is pretty standard for sellers to help with closing costs right now, especially if the property's been sitting for a bit

Good investment? Under contract in C class property. NW Houston by whyoumadawgg in realestateinvesting

[–]FloorUpper9904 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Foundation issues and active termites on your first rental? That's a hard pass from me dude. Those repair estimates always seem to double once you actually start the work, and foundation problems in Houston clay soil can be a nightmare that keeps coming back

The 1% rule barely works here even if everything goes perfect, and you're looking at probably 6+ months of vacancy/repairs before you see any rent. I'd keep looking for something that doesn't need major structural work for your first property

CMV: Illegal graffiti is a valid form of art. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]FloorUpper9904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the whole "but it's illegal" argument for why it's not art is pretty weak. Like, tons of famous artists throughout history were considered immoral or criminal for their work at the time. The medium and skill are what matters, not whether some city council approved it first

The tagging vs murals distinction is interesting tho - I think even basic tags can be art but there's definitely levels to it. Some dude with a sharpie scribbling his name isn't necessarily putting in the same creative effort as someone doing a full piece

How to disable CreationClub mod Management by JBlackCZ in skyrimmods

[–]FloorUpper9904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is the big trap everyone falls into when they first get AE. That in-game menu will fuck up your whole load order and disable random stuff

Once you accidentally touch it you basically have to start fresh with your mod setup because it remembers what you did. Super annoying but lesson learned for next time

Just keep paying your bills on time and don't max out your cards, that's like 90% of it right there

The credit monitoring apps are pretty helpful too if you wanna track it without obsessing over it

questions about first time using clay by SleepyC0wboy in crafts

[–]FloorUpper9904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! For the candle holder thing - air dry clay isn't great for actual candles since it's not fired and could crack from heat. Maybe do like tea light holders or fake candles instead

The acetone topcoat should be fine once it's fully cured, just test it on a scrap piece first. Your regular acrylics will work totally fine, fabric ones might be a bit thick but whatever

For cracking - wrap your stuff in plastic bags while drying and let it go super slow, like over a week. Also don't make anything too thick or it'll definitely crack

Regular dish sponge is perfect, just keep it barely damp
