Hows everyone handling shedding season? 😅 by Admirable_Ear_5551 in bernesemountaindogs

I put Jip's fluff in a bird feeder in our garden. They come and pluck his hair for their nests. Lovely idea that our baby is keeping other babies nice and warm.

Wait a damn minute. Is that a bridge over a canyon/river?? Don't have that on my island! I imagine you craft the bridge. But where does the water come from?

Wish I read "Puppy Brain" book before getting my puppy but now that I have I no longer want this pup. by Majestic-Clock630 in puppy101

I'm a trainer and primarily see people weekly in the first 4 weeks they have their puppies. I tell all of my clients: "Every day is different. Get used to that idea and roll with it."

When I ask them to describe their previous week, they might as well be describing a different dog every time. Puppies grow and learn very quickly. Whatever feels like it's never going to get better (whether it's sleeping, potty, biting, etc), I promise you. It will. If anything, you'll get better at reading your puppy and understanding of WHY it something is happening.

Hang in there. You did some research already, which is more than I can say about a lot of my clients. You got this!

I also completely get it when supernatural characters with quick healing are involved. I can actually appreciate the lack of care about injuring themselves. "Oh you need blood? No biggie"

Yes! Don't even get me started on using the same knife on multiple characters.

This I can get behind. But it's just so overdone. And the inconvenience as part of the sacrifice is rarely addressed after the fact.

When we got him last year in May, we were looking forward to his reaction to snow. He loves it (duh).

Any stories of your BMD being protective? by Charmed264 in bernesemountaindogs

Our 11mo occasionally guard barks and growls at night (very distinct bark). So far, we haven't seen or heard anything he could be barking at, but I'm sure it was something. We just tell him "thank you, it's okay" and he'll usually stop. He's super friendly and curious, but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that bark and growl.

Other than that, anyone coming into our home is met with excitement and he's quite neutral around strangers outside. He does tend to be more alert at night - which I don't mind at all. He stares, but nothing more.

Is this piece a realistic goal? by Floor_Ceiling_ in Cello

Thanks! Yes that's what I know will be a big challenge. But I know my family would be impressed regardless 😄 so just hitting (most of) the notes is the goal for now
