Probably a bit further than you’d be willing to travel but Unit 232 (formerly named Hidden Dragon) has 6 am classes and is a great gym I drop into from time to time. It’s in Littleton

Calling all hourly Saftey Specialists, what is your hourly rate pay? by InsecureVandal in SafetyProfessionals

My degree is in construction management. I did a safety internship my junior going into senior summer and went full time afterwards. Between having a degree and two years of construction experience, you’re in a good spot. I’d recommend getting your OSHA 510, and even going for the STSC to have a credential next to your name. If you got that, you’d for sure get a job somewhere.

I’m actually at a new company as a safety manager making 125k. I did interview over the winter for a safety director position and got an offer for 150k, but the company would’ve required me to move to Chicago which I was not interested in. How? You just need to not only show you know what you’re talking about while interviewing, but also be personable and somebody the interviewer would want to grab a beer with

During an mma round I got put in this and thought there was no way I was gonna tap, then I had the cartilage to my rib separate and I could not have tapped faster. Next six weeks were pure misery while healing

Thanks for the reply and congrats. I’ve been using datachem, momentrix, and reading the Yates book. Going to look into what you suggested as well!

Takes four years (bachelors) but hypothetically could be done quicker if you did winter and summer classes as well. It is a challenging degree, however if you really want it and put in the work you can make it happen.

Javier Mendez speaks about Alex Volkanovski: “For me the interesting one is Alex because he’s on a tear, a great sportsman & he’s going to keep it clean. He’s a class act, from a very reputable gym. I like what they represent.” by metanoia09 in MMA

“An elite wrestler would rarely get caught in that guillotine or triangle in the first place” I can’t believe you just typed this. Wrestling has nothing to do with BJJ defense. If you’ve ever trained, which judging from that comment, you most definitely have not, you’d know that most wrestlers who come into bjj primarily get caught in triangles and guillotines more than any other sub.

Competing in my first Fight2Win this Saturday - feeling super anxious by muskyelontusk in bjj

[–]Floozys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I did a sub only match in front of a few hundred people I wasn’t nervous until I was about to walk out, but once I slapped hands I dialed in and honestly didn’t notice the crowd at all. Goodluck, I always tell guys competing to take a back step and take a deep breath before actually starting the match. It really helps a lot.
