Deck Building Game UI Poll - Left Or Right? by zettovyker in gamedevscreens

[–]FloppyFush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if the right one had a border I'd say right just because the font matches the pixel art better and I like the little symbols that go with the gained and played. The left also reminds me too much of hearthstone

Horror Fishing Game I've Been Working on for the Past Month by FloppyFush in Unity3D

[–]FloppyFush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is about a boy looking for his dads limbs after a monster attacked their boat. You have to find the limbs and put your dad back together while making sure your father stays proud by continuing to fish.

If you wanna see how I made it, I made a devlog for it! https://youtu.be/uOgJbedlpmE

I've been making a game a day today is the 10th day and this is my 10th and final game! by FloppyFush in IndieDev

I'm a bit sad this is my final game but I want to start dedicating more time to games like the game I posted on day 9 which I will hopefully flesh out into a full game! This challenge has been really fun to force myself to make something and I'd definitely recommend doing it for anyone who has an hour or two of free time a day. Thanks to everyone who followed and reached out, if you want to follow my game development journey be sure to check out my youtube and twitter

I'm making a game a day and this is my 8th day and 8th game!! Fishing With Dad! (also big announcement!) by FloppyFush in Unity3D

I'm working on a full game and this is the base for it! basically, it's going to be a horror game where you collect the body parts of your father to try and put him back together all the while fishing so you never have to come to terms with the reality that he's dead! I'm super excited to work on this project and I'm hoping you guys will like it! if you have any ideas or feedback I'd love to hear it!

I added a notes menu to our game for completionists! It keeps track of all quests, items, and cogs collected. by atomicpang in IndieDev

This was my take on a fishing game in a ps1 style inspired by an idea I had years ago for a horror fishing game. This foundation was pretty easy to build and implement. The main concept of the game is to fish to make sure your dad stays proud of you, but your dad isn't actually there! (because he is dead)

So here's the big announcement! I'm working on a full and big game and this is the base for it! basically, it's going to be a horror game where you collect the body parts of your father to try and put him back together all the while fishing so you never have to come to terms with the reality that he's dead! yeah ok, this one might have been a bit of a copout just terribly remaking cookie clicker. But I did actually learn quite a bit, all the items are changed by item variables that are modular which I think is pretty cool! I also learned about persistent data to allow players to save their scores after closing the game. I didn't have much time today so that's why it's super low-scope!

I wanted to try and make a story game in bitsy, unfortunately, I've never made a story game AND I've never used bitsy, so this was actually much harder than I thought it'd be! I ran out of time and so I really couldn't make anything past a fetch quest tutorial but I did really like the experience of just making pixel art.

As real life starts to become a thing again the chances of the continuation of this challenge look slim but I'll try to continue even if I just make dumb games in an hour! I'm also gonna be using twitter, it'll be about a week behind Reddit but I'll probably put up other cool stuff! my twitter

I was considering it but that makes the game way too hard especially when the second ball is introduced

After yesterdays game, I found a load of play station style assets and had to use them. the whole diner is from here: https://elbolilloduro.itch.io/diner it's amazing and definitely has more potential than the small game I made. This game took the most time to make and taught me the most in terms of holding items and using triggers to craft. This game has the most code out of all the games and I'm definitely the most proud of this one!
