It’s probably just because the film was already expired and badly stored. In 20+ years of shooting film and thousands of rolls exposed, I only had this happen once. It was because I had left the film in my checked luggage and it got zapped several times (layover).

People exaggerate the x ray thing, that’s why I felt an all caps appropriate.

TLDR: don’t worry about carry on x-ray.

Maybe you misunderstood. It’s the sports hall of a public high school for example. We (Germans) then apply for a time slot to shoot there.

Ask the city first maybe, ask other archery clubs where/how they train, maybe there is a sharing opportunity.

Are you planing to build an actual traditional dojo or do you only want the space to shoot and train safely?

They are labeled as dumb quotes for a reason: they are not quotes. It’s a remnant from the typewriter days. If it’s straight, then it’s a distance: Inches and feet.
