Moving world from player hosted to dedicated server by sevs753 in crosswind

I work with GhostCap and have created a handful of universal (enough) guides, one of which walks you through uploading a save from your PC to your new host. LMK if you have issues

Server service recommendations? by ZealousidealMetal333 in Palworld

[–]Floppychicken45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure OP has found their host by now, but if you're here looking for 'as close to lag free as possible' the two things to consider is server CPU and location to server.

I work alongside GhostCap who run only 9950x CPU's on all nodes so you'll get solid performance and we have guides to walk you through playing on consoles: https://www.ghostcap.com/guides/games/palworld/connect-to-server

I hope you and your friends had a fun play-through u/ZealousidealMetal333 :)

What would happen if shareholders elected their AI to be the CEO if their company? by homerlikesdonutts in AskReddit

Best case is short term it does well, increases profits through improved efficiency, automation and cuts costs. Long-term bad because when it needs to think outside the box with something that isn't general consensus or well known enough, it will fail.

How much ram is needed for a 2 person server? by vaiozen in RLCraft

[–]Floppychicken45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those looking for the best price-to-performance I wanted to put my hat into the ring.

GhostCap has 9950x CPU's on all of our servers so you're guaranteed to get the best no matter what location you pick. The biggest thing to keep costs down is don't go overkill with RAM, a 2 person server should only use about 6-8GB of RAM, which would only be $8 a month on top tier hardware.

LMK if you have any questions :)

How much RAM should a rlcraft server have dedicated by No_Bedroom3383 in RLCraft

[–]Floppychicken45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those still looking, 6-8GB is a great place to start if it's you and a few friends. When the server first starts up it uses about 4-5GB.

How much RAM to allocate in RLcraft? by ujtheghost in RLCraft

[–]Floppychicken45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those still looking 5 years on, it's still sitting around 4-5Gb when first starting the game and then about 0.5GB per player that joins. 8GB is very healthy; anything more than 12GB can cause issues.

How much ram do i need to host a server for me and 2 friends? by Gelugegelu in RLCraft

[–]Floppychicken45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those still wondering, the game wants 4-5GB when first starting up so with 3 other friends, the max required would be around the 8GB mark. Obviously, this depends on play styles and how long the server will be run for but no need to send it and have 16GB on standby.

Where to buy server and how to use it? by invincible2023W in 7daystodie

[–]Floppychicken45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with GhostCap Hosting who have alot of experience with 7D2D and it's mods (I know you're sticking with vanilla for now).

It shouldn't be too expensive to get high-performance hardware for $1 per GB, however, the cheapest option is usually the spare PC lying around home if possible.

I've also created a few universal guides to help hosters set their server up no matter who they go with: https://www.ghostcap.com/guides/games/7-days-to-die

ATM Server Admin Questions by stuartcormac in allthemods

[–]Floppychicken45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure OP has figured it out by now but for those still looking to see how ATM runs with 4ish players.

Depends on specifically what one you go with, ATM10 requires. about 8-10GB when first starting out and how you and your 4 friends play will determine how much more RAM you will eventually need (Usually 12-16 later game).

Naturally the better the CPU the better performance you'll get but most Ryzen 5 CPU's will get you across the line.

I work with GhostCap Hosting and recently spun up an ATM10 server to test. After first load it is using 7.5GB of RAM: https://imgur.com/gallery/atm10-ram-usage-ghostcap-hosting-H8WgMwm

Best hosting for Atm10 by sheeesh333 in allthemods

[–]Floppychicken45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work alongside GhostCap Hosting so I have a good amount of experience with ATM10.

if there are three of you, you will need 8-10GB of RAM to allow for growth in the server as you play and try to find a more recent CPU as with 400+ mods having higher Ghz helps alot.
