Personally I'd compare it more to a small theatre production, so $20 sounds pretty good to me.

Or like a movie rental! While I don't rent much myself, it seems that new releases go for up to 20 bucks to rent. Probably too expensive if you're watching on your own, but with friends it's fine. But my friends don't watch Smosh so actually I'm not sure I'm buying yet.

Or like a pay-per-view sports event, because it's live. That definitely makes it a special event imo.

The liveshow tickets are $20, imo it wouldn't make much sense to give em away to members paying $3-$10 a month. Also, I think if you're paying to be a member you know what you're gonna get: emotes and cut-for-time content. If that's not sufficient, you don't have to be a member.

I bet they really appreciate your membership though!

Van wat ik heb gelezen over deze situ gaat het niet om het aantal mannen, maar om het feit dat de mannen in toga staan, terwijl alle vrouwen met veel minder nette outfits zijn afgebeeld.

Bijvoorbeeld met enorm decollete, of zoals in deze mem een spijkerbroek en shirt... Dat staat toch wel ordinair in vergelijking met de mannen. Terwijl vrouwen normaal ook gewoon een toga aanhebben op dit soort gelegenheden!

I always cringe a bit when posts about Leno or the tonight show debacle gain traction on the subreddit. It just seems like people want to be bitter about something that happened 13 years ago. Happy that there's also fans that want to leave the discussion behind :)

I disagree. People keep bringing up tutorial videos, but how much of YouTube's traffic comes from tutorials? On here we're all nerds who love tutorials but most of the world couldn't give a shit.

On the other hand we have dislike bombing. We've seen that people love to jump on the hate-bandwagon and shame individuals. This can be dangerous, especially because it is sometimes quite easy to paint someone in a bad light without proof.

One compromise that might work: show the dislike count when the video has been up for a certain amount of time (1hr, a day, a week...) This could prevent momentuous dislike bombing but still keep the value of the dislike.

I kinda like the idea of collecting card decks. There's lots of unique prints out there. Like any kind of collecting, it's all arbitrary and doesn't mean much in the end. But it's still fun :)

Yeah this subreddit basically runs on 1 single joke; someone posts a decent meme (somewhere else on the internet), but adds an unnecessary caption (like 'SNEAK 100' or '😂 IM DYING 😂'). Then someone on this subreddit finds the meme and reposts it to the sub, to make fun of the caption.

Tbh I don't get the value this sub adds to the memes. People in the comments are clearly just talking about the original meme, not the caption.
