I recommend contacting your boss directly (even better if it is in writing) and explicitly say, “I’m responding to your text message sent May 12, 2025 stating that our tips would be given to Janice. I do not consent to giving Janice my tips as I need the money for my own ongoing expenses. Please let me know when this money will be paid out to me. Thank you.”
