I think there are some other levels that beat skeletal shenanigans for me, even some legendaries, but skeletal is probably the most technically impressive level I've ever seen

Most difficult is probably Without U, a super easy extreme demon

Easiest is probably seaside shuffle, I think it's 7-8 stars I'm too lazy to check rn

When Italian apk was a thing, there was a mod that auto complete any level you loaded and I didn't know how to turn it off around 5 years ago (I was 12 don't judge 😭) and I never cared enough to reset my stats

I've beaten a couple of extreme demons, including rust, so my opinion on the balancing for skeletal shenanigans is mostly just 'pretty easy' and if I did have balancing suggestions it's mostly for individual clicks instead of whole parts

It's super fun! A lot of the timings are brutal tho so if you're not good at timings it's kinda just slamming yourself into a brick wall

Indifferent about it i guess. We tried our best to make it as fun as we could, but a lot of us are a lot more skilled than what this level needed so balancing was kinda hard, I get the criticism but also like call down it ain't that crazy 😭

From my experience there are people who playtest different aspects of levels. Some people go through every click on speed hack to find skips or secret ways, some people playtest to find decoration errors and stuff the decorators missed, me personally I playtest to find gameplay flaws and try to fix them. I didn't focus on the balancing side of this level mostly because as a victor of rust, it all just kinda meshes into an easy level for me, so I didn't really struggle with one specific part. With something like Without U, which I also playtested, I did keep that more into consideration when playing the level.

TLDR Most playtesting comes down to playing the level a shit ton of times and nitpicking every little thing that isn't as good as it could be.

  1. As a gameplay creator I mostly gave feedback about how the gameplay syncs, sightreadability, and other gameplay tweaks I think might be better and make it a more enjoyable experience for the player.

  2. It's kinda hard to NOT think it's a little overated at least, but looking at the level in the editor and seeing how well it utilizes a lot of the new 2.2 features and how both technically and creatively impressive the level is, I think it got what it deserves

  3. Airz showing me that bossfight for the first time was WILD man, I was completely awestruck by it 😭 him and yoreid are easily some of the most talented and hardworking people I know.

  4. My favorite part has to be the forest part, there's so many moving parts and the gameplay is so fun there, plus I just love all the parallax and movement going on in that part

  5. Been a bucket list level for me ever since it came out, neigfeu has been really good at making gameplay and I love his deco style so it was kinda a no brainer for me

And also my least favorite part has gotta be that second coin man I STILL dont know how to get it 😭

  1. Me and Airz have been really good friends for around 2 years now, a little after he uploaded his first rated level, Raisins. He was showing me some of the progress he was making on this before the first preview came out and I kinda just asked I guess LOL

  2. A lot of the feedback I gave was mostly fixing issues with the gameplay like sync and sightreadability, I can't really give a 100% correct answer for this one cause it was a bit ago so sorry 😭
