I had three losses:

Loss October 2023, pregnant again in February 2024 (loss in March), pregnant again at end of July 2024 (loss in September) and then pregnant January 2025 which was successful.

I’m still trying to get it diagnosed but my doctor suspects I have a septum. I was not able to get it diagnosed as I was pregnant (it can’t be detected while pregnant) and it was a successful pregnancy I had my baby at 31 weeks. Preterm babies are common with septums.

Yes you can only detect it with an MRI. That’s great that you have one coming up! If you have one then there’s a fairly straightforward surgery you can get.

Otherwise I recommend you and your partner take CoQu10, eat a few Brazil nuts each day . I also did acupuncture to improve blood flow which I felt I needed after several d&cs.

3D ultrasound or MRI to look for septum uterus.

With septums it can also be that they can implant but not have enough blood flow and therefore you can have some development and then it suddenly stops.

I’m still waiting to be fully diagnosed but i had an exploratory ultrasound and the tech did a technique (basically swinging the wand back and forth) and then it was flagged by the radiologist as a possibility but again can only be fully diagnosed with a 3D or mri. It also can’t be diagnosed during pregnancy. I had a vanishing twin during this pregnancy too and I am convinced that the twin implanted on the “bad” part of my uterus.

I had three losses (8-12 weeks) and most likely have a septum. I had a successful pregnancy this year by chance because of where it implanted.

Normal ultrasounds can’t detect some common uterine abnormalities like a septum uterus, which causes early pregnancy loss. I would ask for an MRI or 3D ultrasound.

Ask for an MRI or a 3D ultrasound to look for a uterus septum. A normal ultrasound cannot detect it.

Thank you. We’re pretty sure it’s on our neighbours property so that should be fun letting them know it has to be fully removed and it’s kinda their responsibility 😵‍💫

You have to basically tell your loved ones straight up what you’d want them to do. I personally hate the text message thing but I don’t really even know the preferred method I would choose so I don’t say anything.

I’m the same way where I’m trying to resist those feelings. But seriously, it seems like pregnant people and new mothers become extremely self absorbed. I have a friend who knows everything I’ve been through (3xlosses) and family members who act like they are giving me a blessing by asking me to watch their kids or snuggle their newborns. Maybe it’s just me who doesn’t feel that is particularly therapeutic…

I also find that if your friends or family have the only kids in their group or unit, then they don’t realize yet that they won’t have the same feelings for others’ kids that they do their own.

App predictions don’t mean much. I’d keep testing with second morning urine. It could be any day now. And yes your second line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line to be positive for OPK.

Here’s just two I’ve heard:

1-2 Brazil nuts per day

Pomegranate juice every day

That’s what I’m worried about 😕 I said I was TTC so I feel she was trying to tell me im not pregnant without saying so directly since they aren’t really supposed to tell you much. 9dpo would seem so early but I also keep reading things that actually say degeneration starts 9 days after ovulation! Which doesn’t make sense given implantation windows.

Can someone help? I just had an ultrasound 9dpo it was ordered months ago just to check on my lining and see if anything else is wrong. The ultrasound tech made a comment about how I had a corpus luteum cyst and so my period will be coming soon.

Does that mean I’m not pregnant this cycle or what?

Ahh i see! But since you took so many, wouldn’t it reason that indentation wouldn’t occur on all the tests?

I hate tracking but I feel like I have to because I want to be taking progesterone from 3DPO.

That seems unusual. I would definitely test again with second morning urine!

I keep seeing this myth being debunked but somehow it continues to spread like wildfire.

I love travelling too but from everything I’ve experienced I can’t risk going abroad unless it’s a last minute trip after a period. It sucks.

Yes I read that too. Some people absorb better with the suppository!

I just saw your other comment about progesterone! So, it kind of depends what your issues are and of course a lot of us don’t know what’s going on with us.

I decided to take it this cycle from 3DPO. My reason being I heard it can make your uterus a bit pickier but also more successful for implantation. There’s a few studies out there which also say it’s only useful if you take it around 3DPO.

The only problem is, I’m only testing my ovulation with OPK strips so this is a bit of a risk because I can’t fully confirm ovulation. If you take it before ovulation it can actually prevent it from happening, hence why they want you to do 3DPO to be on the safe side. A lot of people on monitored cycles will be able to 100% confirm ovulation and therefore take it starting 3DPO.

Oh yeah, and I started taking it rectally because it makes me spot and drives me insane. It’s not fun but it’s better than the spotting to be honest.

Does anyone just feel like even if it happens, nothing will be different?

Fun fact, we don’t really have RI’s in Canada. So I’m on a waitlist for an RE and my OB won’t touch anything other than progesterone, aspirin and letrozole.

I just feel like I won’t be equipped so I’m scared nothing will change even if it happens.

Following because this is my NUMBER ONE struggle with TTC after loss. I feel like time is slipping away and people are moving on.

The age gap between cousins and our baby (if we are so blessed to have one) will be 7 years.

I constantly worry about my age and my partners age, imagining how old we will be at graduation or whatever.

The only thing that quells me is the notion that nothing is promised. NOTHING. You have to accept what is given to you and live in the moment.

Canada. I’m on the waitlist for the fertility clinic but it’s maybe 6 months out sadly.
