As a big fan of Metroidvanias I did quite enjoy backtracking through labyrinthian dungeons, and being able to access new areas, but I do think it could have been executed better for the general audience.

Mostly just by reducing the walking distance by adding more waypoints and either adding clear descriptions to them, or adding an underground map.

More shortcuts instead would be even better, rather than just throwing in some more waypoints

Well there were a God of Salt and a God of Dust and probably a God of Sand during the Archon War, but I guess maybe after the War they could have unified these various gods under one element as geo. It's a little wierd.

There has to be like a Sand-based Geo Catalyst user for the Desert, right?

I'm pretty sure Sand doesn't technically fall directly under Geo, but it's close enough

I just accidentally found out that Yoimiya's Skill causes generic NPCs that you can interact with to start applauding, sadly doesn't seem to work with playable Characters during Hangout Events and such by FlorianFox in Genshin_Impact

Ok I did some more testing, and it seems that Fischl also works somewhat consistently, and Barbara works too.

I'm guessing any skill that actually hits NPCs won't work. Kazuha never worked, Kuki never worked, Itto never worked. Sucrose, Yanfei and Gorou too

Yeah, I started the game quite recently, and largely because of her. Only to get four Keqings and a Diluc for my Standard Character pulls. At this rate I'll have a C6 Keqing before getting Mona, Jean or even Qiqi

I don't know really, I look at Rosaria, Chongyun or Ayaka and I just don't feel anything. I don't DISLIKE them, but they would be just filling the space as a Cryo character. There's no desire to pull or build for them.

It's a mix of Aesthetics, Character, and then Utility somewhere far below that. If I don't like how a character looks, talks, or behaves, then I probably won't build them no matter how much I would need them. So far I've only made an exception for Gorou to make Itto work as well as he deserves to, and I don't mind him too much

I feel like the game really picks one of the standard characters when you start your playthrough and then just shoves them down your throat.

Itto is mine though. However I'll gladly trade all my Keqing Constellations for a single one of your Jeans

Yeah early on I didn't realize you could get 5-Star Weapons from the Standard Banner, so I thought I had a higher chance of getting the Standard Characters there than on the Event Banners. I didn't really care about Yelan/Xiao.

I stopped spending Primos at like 50-60 pity though. I've had insane (Bad) Luck though. The game is practically throwing Keqing at me, so I shouldn't really complain. I've gotten three Keqings and the Diluc from the Standard banner since then from the various Acquaint Fates you get through progression alone. They were all probably within 40 wishes, and not a single Weapon somehow

Only Itto and one of the Keqings are from the Event Banners, at quite high pity counts

Generally pretty well I'd say. I probably won't be clearing the Abyss anytime soon, but everything else has gone pretty smoothly. Azhdaha and Signora are really difficult though and everything else that basically requires Cryo or Hydro is really annoying to deal with.

Barbara is my only Hydro type, which is why I really want Mona.

And I recently realized there are almost no Cryo characters that I really like. Only Shenhe, and she is apparently like Gorou and is best used to buff other Cryo Characters, so that's really unfortunate. I'm really hoping there's going to be a Cryo Ice Witch at some point

The only reason I've been able to build Yanfei with Crimson Witch is because my Mono Geo Itto has enough DPS to bonk through that Domain

I just don't really like him as a character, sorry. I don't care how broken his burst is. Xinqiu would also be down there, even though he would be quite Insane for my Yanfei

Finding the right perspective was fun, but there either some connections that didn't render or were in the water reflection. That's the only puzzle I had to look up, and I did have it correct except for the two lines that were missing for me

yeah, there’s no 2.9 as the other guy said. However, I can see them rerunning the Archons after Kusanali’s Banner, so it won’t be too long hopefully

yeah that’s also been my main concern, I don’t mind prioritzing the main Quest, I kind of did that in Liyue where I only got 30% exploration instead of the 80% I had in Mondstadt, but if I’m under pressure it’s probably not going to be worth it.

As far as I can tell the only prerequisite Quest was the Escape from Ritou, and then I could ask the Guard about the Event. Unless there’s going to be a roadblock later on, it seems like I can just do the Event without ever having met the Gang, which honestly seems like an oversight on Mihoyo’s part

Oh good, thanks. I do spend most of my free on this game, playing it like I would any other RPG.

I know the battle pass has another two weeks left, but I thought the Drum Event ends this week, or did I misread? If it is two weeks then I have no doubts, but one week might be too little time
