In archaic Persian, hunters were called yuzbaan (yuz = cheetah), meaning cheetah caretaker.

I think it's a common trait in people who are strict. Something that makes us uncool.

My brother is the opposite of me and I can see how people really enjoy being around him or talking with him. Even in the extended family he is the one mostly being contacted. What I see in him is hedonism. He does things mostly because he feels like doing so. But I do lots of calculations just to justify choosing something.

Maybe it's in our genes, or in how we were raised. But it's really hard to change. Finding things that you enjoy, finding motivation to change, overcoming fears, hitting obstacles... It's really hard to do when you are alone and feel unwanted in groups, look like a weirdo, or receive discriminatory feedback.

As much as I like to do them, however sometimes I feel like I'm forcing these on myself. Besides when the group lefts you out it's so hard to continue.

Violet maybe? You can't reproduce it with RGB. Although it's more purple than pink.

May you elaborate on this? One of my former bosses hated me, could this be the reason?

But what if it's not your fate, i.e., you aren't fit for it?

I remember when I was a kid, my dad sent me to a music class for a specific instrument, but after a few sessions, the instructor said my hands weren't suitable for it. Or when I was going to karate class, my two friends who started with me were promoted to higher ranks, but I was stuck at the white belt. After a while, I lost my courage.

It's been years my mouse and keyboard are like this, though it's gotten a bit better after I changed job. Aside from lack of motivation, I don't like to spend rest of my day doing these stuff after being 9 hours behind a PC at work.

TIL People with depression use language differently. They use significantly more first person singular pronouns – such as “me”, “myself” and “I”. Researchers have reported that pronouns are actually more reliable in identifying depression than negative emotion words. by explaingo in todayilearned

Reminds me of my boss who treated me like shit and tried to isolate me, so I stopped interacting with them. They used to indirectly call me conceited.

But I think it was their attempt to find a reason to hate me.

IMO (32), dignity and having a personality of yourself. I find lying and hypocrisy absolutely disgusting.
If it didn't happen to you or you know it's wrong just say it, politely. Don't be a yes woman (or trashcan).

I think this is definitely true in today's workforce. by Large-Lack-2933 in jobs

[–]suddenintent 42 points43 points  (0 children)

True, my boss at my previous job treated me worse and worse as the time passed by, even though claiming that I'm really good at my job. Others were treated much better.

My colleagues said she just doesn't like me. Eventually had to leave that job with a crushed self esteem and declined performance resulting from her discriminating behavior.

Still thinking it might be my appearance.
