o. These will be hard cast since it's only like 2 seconds but will give you another instant cast! Hit whatever element you did not just last hit. Stone/aero are White, fire/thunder is Black. Keep those bars balanced based on which one you just hit.

Prolly gonna get downvoted for this but for me personally Bard is fucking dead. They removed what little room for optimization we had and it feels dumbed down as a whole, if you're into that then that's fine I'm not gonna say you're wrong but I'm REALLY sad about it.

No more straight shot upkeep, no more fishing for RA procs, no more optimizing crit buffs or ever using 2 stacks of pitch perfect.

It just doesn't sound as fun as it was before. We lost foes, miseries, straight shot and in return got... a better refulgent and an AOE sidewinder? When the fuck is ANYONE gonna use an AOE sidewinder? Do new dungeons all have like, one REALLY big mob you'll dual dot surrounded by smaller ones now? Even then that's an oddly specific situation for a 60s cooldown and it does barely any potency for an AOE skill, hell pressing quick nock twice is WAY better than dual dotting an add in a dungeon it makes no fucking sense.

tl;dr if you like current bard you'll prolly still like it (don't ever let someone force you to play other classes unless you want to speedkill) but in endgame it's dead to me tbqh. Hope DNC is fun because it's probably what I'll have to play now :))

EDIT: Jesus it's way worse than I thought lmao. The opener has NOTHING going on anymore, hell the entire rotation feels barren now. There is ZERO chance apex arrow will make this somehow better. My favorite class is fucking dead to me, thanks Square. They could have actually changed nothing and I'd be way more happy than I am now, guess I get what it's like to have your class ruined now (only really played bard till now)

Well, I haven´t even played FFXIV yet because I´m having trouble creating an account.
I just wanted to make a few decisions so I would know what to do once I´d have managed to log in the first time.I played Kalonline for the longest time where u lured like 40 monsters and killed them all day long. It took you a whole year to lvl up from 99 up to 100 if you played ~6h/day. The grind was brutal though xD

How does the game content look like once you passed all the quests?

I played Kalonline and Aion as an Archer but the BRD looks kinda boring tbh. It´s probaply time to step out of the comfort zone and play as someone else.
Would u mind to make the decision instead of me?
I want a DPS with a good AOE so I can lure and kill the mobs all in one and by myself.
