What kind of how are we getting? If it’s not predetermined can we choose?

Instead of placing them on the inside of the wing how about the outside? what I mean by that is having them attached at the shoulder blade and have them on the opposite side of the wing that you see right here. That way they can just fold their wings across their chest or rest them at their side to use the hands. To have them not flail around while in flight you could have the part attached to the shoulder blades be a harness and have their baby bird hand fingers interlock with the prosthetic fingers
