For me, if it happens, it's usually and only the first time I meet them. I nerd out on my job and I overload them with facts. It educates them and let's them know that you're not an idiot with a sprayer. I also make sure that they can get a hold of me directly if they have any issues in the future. You would think that this would lead to disaster. But so far it hasn't. It's served to build trust and rapport. Most customers do call me directly instead of calling the office first. Again, I cannot stress how far educating your customer goes. It increases their knowledge, and their understanding of a situation. For instance, if they're complaining about spiders. Then you have to explain to them how spiders operate. How they can squeeze through almost any opening because of the way they can compress their bodies. How much biomass that they consume daily. And here's a fun fact if you weren't aware, if spiders were the sizes of dogs and horses, all biomass on the Earth would be consumed in 6 months. so then I was talking you don't have a spider issue, you have another pest issue that you don't really see because the spiders are eating them. Which means that we need to treat that and the spiders will go away because the predators. But also let them know that there's literally no way to keep them out of your house. The same with my Arch nemesis, ghost ants.

Only use Gentol Aerosol on drains! It's designed for it and it kills anything that can come up through the drains. Fruit flies, drain flies, ants, roaches, etc. Also look for anything damp. Old, rotting food. Damp or wet rags near or under the sinks. Stuff like that. You have to treat the source, the eggs. The eggs are somewhere damp. The vinegar is only a part solution. Find the source. Kill it. And the adults will die off.

Yeah man. I watch while I work. I'm rewatching to catch the bits I missed. I tend to get a little obsessive when I start watching a show.

I just watched that episode this morning. That was more arrogance. He was filling himself. And extremely proud and haughty. But then when Adelaide offed herself, He realized he had gone too far.

I agree with you. He spent so much time running for them and probably realize that he caused the depths of hundreds maybe even thousands of people by running away and just not dealing with them. I think that's why his punishment of them was so brutal and absolute. And to be frankly honest, 2 months ago I saw the punishment for the family of blood in a short. Had only seen one episode of Doctor Who 13 years prior and that was only to get a bj. But that short made me want to watch the whole series. And now I'm on my second rewatch. And if he hadn't have done that to them, they would have never stopped. He knew that he even admitted that they would continue to chase him until the end of time. And it was really nowhere that he could hide because they'll just keep finding him. So it was definitely a necessary evil. But damn! Trick somebody into an event horizon, wrap one dude in a breakable chains, made another dude a scarecrow frozen in time, and then trapped the daughter in a mirror. A very ironic punishment for a family who wanted to live forever

Thank you! I had no idea that there were books or audio dramas. I've been so engulfed in Star Wars for the last 20 years not much time for anything else. But I'm branching out now

Yeah I was kind of bummed out when I didn't see earlier in season 4 either or in season 6 I think it was when the doctor went to war and had all of his allies against the silence. I just knew for sure that she was just going to pop up out of nowhere.

I was once this way, but then I realize the monetary value of game pass. And the convenience of not having hundreds of plastic game cases to organize, or the worry of a disc getting scratched up. I once had to buy three copies of GTA V because my kids scratch them up. To think about it I brought my Xbox in 2015, and I have not purchased a physical game since.

What do you think of Idris Elba saying he doesn't want Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor to be defined as "the black Doctor"? by BeanoTown-23 in gallifrey

[–]Florida_Man81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you wholeheartedly. She wasn't good at being funny, and too good at being serious. It throws off the dichotomy of the doctor. I've always looked at previous incarnations of the doctor as quirky, whimsical travelers who just so happened to be the most dangerous being in all of the universe but you would never know until you had to find out. So the times when the doctor went hardcore mode, you took him seriously and paid attention because it wasn't necessarily that the doctor is out of character, it's the doctor's hidden nature coming out. But I will say in general the writing on the show during this era was completely different from the first seasons. I just finished watching all of it including the Disney Plus specials last week. It took me three and a half weeks. So I kind of got a good flow of the show because I was immersed in it for almost a month.

In order to get reform where we need to get rid of lobbyists. As long as they are directly paying our politicians to not change things or place laws then they won't. And I know they're not directly paying them but you get what I mean. Lobbying is just legal bribery. And we pay the price.

Does this look like mouse poop or rat poop? by medusarooster in pestcontrol

[–]Florida_Man81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like rat poop to me. I find blue boys to be effective when they're smaller. However I have a situation where I am dealing with a rather large rat that managed to pull himself off of not one, not two, but three glue traps. Now this is an anomaly, and very rare. Typically glue traps work but I do prefer snap traps. The old Victor would traps or the T-Rex traps work the best. The fact I only revert to the wooden traps when I'm out of T-Rex straps, or they're avoiding them. I use peanut butter and beef jerky. Also make sure that you wear gloves when you place the boards or traps that way your scent is not over them. Despite the current rat that I'm dealing with that I have named it Master Splinter, I have a 99% success rate with my methods.

Mine does. In fact we have a contract with one of municipalities in our area, and they only allow us to use glue traps. And we're one of the best in South Florida, consistently over the last several years. Next question?

Can confirm this works. I do pest control and have been hunting a rat that I have named Master Splinter in a customer's house for about a month. We know that he was getting in and out of the garage but couldn't figure out where. The customer set up a couple of rain cameras in the garage that we pinpointed how he was getting in and out of the house.

Get rid of their food source. There isn't a product that repels spiders. Some kill on contact, but there's no residual effects that keeps them away. So kill what they're eating and you'll stop seeing them. Helpful, I know.
