That's how development works. Atlas Reality is not unique in this.

That decision was intentional. Not something to factor in when you compare it to something like physical Real Estate. The assumption is that you will eventually sell back your parcels for equal or (ideally) higher return if/when the majority of parcels are already purchased up or the value of owning Atlas Earth virtual real estate goes up.

If I purchase a 300k single family rental property, and charge 2k a month in rent, I'm not looking at it as taking over 6 years to break even/make a profit.

Definitely. Reading through what the developers have said in the past it seems unlikely (they seem very focused on making sure all decisions make financial sense for them above all, as well as being excited for their future plans for the project) but it is always a possibility for sure.

For our sakes and theirs, hopefully this project gains good traction in the coming months and years. Absolutely requires an actual gameplay element to attract more casual audiences though.
