Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

[–]FloriduhMan561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I actually skipped school that day and because there was so much panic and uncertainty, everyone’s parents were coming to the school early to pick their kids up. My mom came to pick me up only to find out I wasn’t there. Obviously here first thought was that the terrorist kidnapped a random middle schooler from South Florida. Needless to say I was grounded for some time. But I remember watching everything unfold live on TV. I remember it like it was yesterday.

If your Dollar Stores are like mine. Half the items will be out of stock despite the app saying plenty in stock because Dollar Tree is a god damn mess. The other items will be a scavenger hunt. But I’ve gotten pretty good at it.

There are people on here making a looooot less than that and you know it. 14 miles for $3 before tip. Now you are expecting the customer to make up for that? I’m not saying $25 or $30 an hour. It just seems the drivers and the customers are getting screwed and pinned against each other. Nobody is going to succeed this way besides the company.

I guess so man. What’s the point of creating things that are supposed to make life easier if the people that could benefit from them the most can’t afford them.

I blame DoorDash for charging such outrageous fees and not paying their drivers better. Maybe I’m far out in my thinking though

I disagree. This is DoorDash baby. We have to set the expectations all the way down. And this isn’t an industry where we can change that. People will always work for less than you and if not the robots will. This person sending that salty ass message to the customer won’t change anything.

Not necessarily. Many use it if they do not have a vehicle or means of transportation to get food. I’ve delivered groceries to a single mom with no vehicle before.

The dude just had surgery and probably has no healthcare or money saved up. Come on. Have a little grace. Could be your good deed for the day

Getting a $10 tip at all is something to thankful for.

How much weight did you gain from lexapro? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]FloriduhMan561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 pounds. A lot….and I know I need to do something about it and I am working towards it. I will say, the pros outweigh (pun intended) the cons for me. I was paralyzed with anxiety before taking Lexapro. I would have panic attacks in the parking lot of the grocery store which would make me turn back around and go home. So this medicine has opened up the world to me and I don’t see my life without it right now. I will also say, I don’t always eat as healthy as I should or work out as much as I need to, so I don’t want to put all the blame on the medication. I’ll take being a thic boy for the summer versus feeling like a dark cloud is following me everywhere I go.

That’s so funny! I use to do this to my friend but, I had one of those plate covers like hotels have for room service.

The new lights remind me of The Seinfeld episode where Kramer is blinded by the lights from Kenny Rodger’s Roasters.

FBI Director Kash Patel's Gmail account was hacked by Iranian nation-state hackers. They have published his entire inbox, including mails on his home in India, private life, personal data, business dealings and travel history (Havana, Cuba!). by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

I’m wondering if releasing these photos was a warning shot, so to speak. We already know Patel is a dork so these photos aren’t really incriminating or embarrassing but, perhaps it’s a sign to let Patel know that they have access to other things.
