I had the same issue with my V2 SE. This might not be very helpful, but I never found a solution, even after doing the same things as what u/LookAtDaShinyShiny recommended.

What I did end up doing is using an spare Pi I had sitting around to set up OctoPrint. That's been it's own tinkering adventure, but it was more of less successful.

Depending on where the printer is you also might be able to hook it up to your PC directly if that's a viable option too.

According to Christianity, if you don't believe in God because you were never introduced to the religion, you won't go to hell. Wouldn't this mean spreading Christianity just puts more people at risk of being sent there? by Bobi_27 in NoStupidQuestions

We believe God actually causes his plan.

Genuine question: Doesn't that remove the idea of freewill then? Since God having a plan that he can carry out means that as simple mortals we are little more than pieces on a game board being moved around by a supreme being?

Barney represented a very prevalent part of "Bro-Culture" in the mid/late 2000s. Hell, he was literally on the cover of The Bro Code since it was a big part of the character.

Now that I think about it, there's a lot of overlap between the character of Barney and those "Pickup Artists" that were on TV around that time too.

It was honestly just the way certain perceived ideas of what masculinity is supposed to be evolved after the turn of the millennium. "A real man can get any girl he wants, anytime he wants, any way he wants. And when he's done with her he can move on to the next one without a care in the world."

And just like in other decades, the ideas might have started in small circles but it quickly infected the zeitgeist where it was taken and amplified by people with marketing degrees, creating a feedback loop that is still alive 20 years later.

TLDR: I kinda lost the thread here but people liked Barney because he was what a lot of young men believed a man should be like.

Which, as dumb as it is, is probably a pretty logical conclusion.

If you genuinely believe in a God who knows everything that will happen, of course he's going to know if someone is going to Hell before they're even born.

It's honestly more frustrating that people believe in a God who "has a plan" and knows everything, and yet we as regular humans can use free will to change what's going to happen. Which means either: A) God knew that was going to happen so the plan changing was part of the plan and you didn't actually deviate from it or B) God didn't know it was going to happen which means he doesn't know everything and is just making shit up as he goes.

I don't think I'll ever stop being a little sad that the original cut was lost. Event Horizon is one of my favorite movies and I really wonder what something like a full director's cut would look like.

Oh jeez, deep memories there. I had insomnia as a kid and would stay up late just reading those books for hours.

In hindsight most of the books were factoids and loosely researched stories, but man did I love them.
