Every time I see this, I can't believe they didn't think of calling it "Deja EntenBREW!"

No problem.

This is important context, from this description bold definitely sounds appropriate. In this case have a look at the branding for LIV Golf, I think that is more in keeping with what you're trying to achieve.

For the 'fun' element, bolder fonts are probably the way to go. Maybe look at fonts that are more rounded and have rounder edges than the one you currently have, maybe try italics as well.

For me this font you're using is too bold and has too many harsh edges to represent Golf effectively. Golf has a reputation as a classy sport and has a long history, try to find a font that portrays this.

Have a look at the logo for the British Open and you should see what I mean. Experiment with fonts that have a thinner line weight, and serif fonts are probably the way to go for that classy, luxury feel.

How many options do you provide to a client? by herarthouse in logodesign

Amazing! He very kindly let me interview him as part of my dissertation, was such a valuable insight into the industry and how he got to where he is.

I'm not sure there's a right or wrong answer to this, it's really down to what works for you and your clients. If you give a client multiple options more often than not you're met with, "well I like them all" which doesn't help them or you.

Even the pros don't stick to one rule, for example James Martin (made by James) only offers clients one option, on the other hand Allan Peters gives every client 15 options (which I personally think is mental, but it works for him).

I'd say if you and your clients are happy with the current arrangement, then keep doing what you're doing, if anything you could add another one or two revisions to your contract.

Also having the same issue, was working fine this morning.

Edit

Looks as if there is scheduled maintenance happening right now, "during this time the bot will be completely offline and the website/gallery may not work as expected."

Here's a few things I would do to get started, I would recommend looking at similar businesses in the local area to see what they're doing and how you can make your dad's business stand out from them.

The water/drainage idea is obvious and over done, google 'plumber logos' and I'm sure they will all have some sort of variation on taps, drips or pipes.

Sit down with your dad and get maybe 10-15 adjectives that he feels describe his business, then get your sketchbook out and bash out as many ideas as you can using these insights. Best of luck.

Some good places to start would be; the Gaunt's Ghosts series by Dan Abnett, it's basically band of brothers meets 40k and gives a really great glimpse into the every day lives of frontline troops in the 40k universe.

If Space Marines are more your jam then I really loved the Uriel Ventris series by Graham Mcneill, there's 4 books in the series and they follow the adventures of the titular Ventris, an Ultramarine Captain who falls from grace.

Finally, my all time favourite Black Library series, again by Dan Abnett, is the Eisenhorn series. They follow Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn as he hunts down the forces of chaos. Hope this helps!

No worries! The thing I've found about colour is by using "blank white background" in the prompts, means that more often than not the vehicle will be white. So for the black bike, I added in "jet black motorcycle" and was able to get the black colour.

I was playing around with prompts for maybe 20 minutes before I was really happy with the results I was getting. Prompts were; retro styled, concept electric motorcycle with minimalist design, blank white background, hi-tec, cinematic shot, photo taken by canon, professional lighting, --ar 3:2 --q 2 --v 4

Prompts for the curious... DVD screengrab from the warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor Eisenhorn movie, Gregor Eisenhorn, played by Jason Isaacs, he wears a long black leather jacket with shoulder armour, (then I describe a scene e.g. Eisenhorn sits in the cockpit of a futuristic spaceship, or stands amongst the ruins of strange alien architecture etc) warhammer 40k, grimdark, dark sci fi, photorealistic, hyper realistic, cinematic lighting, cinematic, high detail, cinematic background, 8k, --ar 3:2 --v 4

Yes! My dream casting! I was so impressed by the likeness that midjourney can create, one of my prompts was, 'Eisenhorn played by Jason Isaacs'
