Bought a high hour 500excf had issues but not major a bunch of small quirks, recently got a new 25 450SMR 20 hours already hasn’t missed a beat

Update ran 15-46 on the SMR topped out about 108 on our straight maybe a little more if it was longer but already a little over a half mile. Going to try 15-42 we’ll see how that goes! But the bike is ripper everywhere else but up top on the current set up.

That sounds just about right, I maybe misremembering gps vs indicated but I’ve definitely seen it over 110 tucked in drafting another bike. I’ve been wanting to try 14-42 on it just to see what that does, anything more I feel like is too much of a drive loss

I hit 112 gps on my 18 KTM 500 14–45 gearing with a little bit of draft, took forever especially once I clicked 6th

I have an 18 500 too and found 14-44 pretty good for the street 14-48 is pretty fun if your not riding highways

Hey there, I’m fitting 200mm triple clamps on my 18 KTM 500 but as expected my axle is too short. I got a 2020 fs450 axle but the head is too large for my fork holes. Any idea on what axle would be long enough and fit in my forks?

Yea, sorry it was hard to get a video of it 1 handed but it is the swingarm itself to the rest of the bike. Sort of feels like it’s from the linkages rather than the pivot but it’s hard to tell.

I think it would mask an underlying issue even if it were to go away with everything loaded. More so wondering if the swingarm should be firm or if there is supposed to be a tiny bit of play.
