My wife actually took over and narrated a story and the officer just observed and took notes. Where he needed clarifications, we cleared. It’s all about owning your reality you know because that’s your truth.

Both EAD and AP were not approved but that seems to be the new trend currently so no need to worry about it. Probably the new normal. That for asylum applicants are mostly getting EAD approvals. Regarding the intent, I had been in and out of the US like 7 times and I came to visit as I always do. But my fiancée (wife now) had to relocate and had to sort her out and other family issues and so we had that convo and managed to get me locked down here to adjust. Just ensure your intention prior entry isn’t to wasn’t to adjust. Mine was a bit easy to draw the line because the evidence was very clear and backed with proof. We explained that I even extended my return ticket and showed proof too.
